Season 3 of Industry (on HBO) has started. Don't hear much talk about the show. Set in London and is about newbies in the finance world and all the debauchery they get up to. Great show. Highly recommend.
Bumping this to note that season 3 is off to a banging start. If you haven't watched this show and are looking for something, I highly recommend.
My wife and I are almost through Season 1. It's good, but it hasn't been much watch TV for us.
I'm a little uncomfortable watching this to be honest.
I'm old & feeble, glad I wasn't the only one. May bail on this one.
I've watched plenty of sex stuff with my wife, but we're 3 episodes in and have had several pull the covers over our heads cringe moments so far. Prudes...
For me it's the Jasmin/Robert scenes that are cringey. Too much male full frontal nudity for me as well.

I get it. People are having sex. You don't have to hit me in the face with the hammer every episode.

Euphoria is a beautifully made TV show..just visiually stunning, with some quality writing and acting too.

That I have no interest in watching because it's awful, cringey decision after awful cringey decision every episode. No gracias.

Anybody here watch From on MGM+?

I’ve got some thoughts on this but want to see what other people think about this before I share mine.

Yeah I think it’s pretty good.
Yeah I think it’s good and my wife really likes it. It’s like if Stephen King wrote Lost. Definitely interested to see where the story goes.

There’s just something about some of the acting I can’t get past - I won’t get into it so I don’t ruin things for anybody.

It’s very highly rated and I haven’t seen anything about this in any reviews, so it’s probably just a me thing.

Agree on all points.

Some iffy acting/directing decisions... But overall fun. My whole family likes it. And looking forward to where it's going.

We watched Adam Sandler’s new stand up special on Netflix. We didn’t find it funny and turned it off after about 20 minutes.

I started it, but won't go back. Nothing happened off screen. Someone new to town could be hanging out in a house with locals all day without anyone ever spending the 5 minutes to explain the rules. Why not? Because the camera wasn't on them. Handing a laminated 3x5 card with the rules to new people would solve a lot of their problems.

I’m still watching and interested in where it goes. My theory, though, is that they are trying to save money by not having any pre-shoot read throughs or second takes. There are some scenes where it seems like this is the first time the actors are saying their lines (weird timing, mid-sentence pauses, no interaction with other actors, etc).

3 episodes into Kaos on Netflix....its considered a comedy. No idea why. Goldblum as an angsty Zeus is decent. Not loving it at the moment but don't hate it.

Netflix new Laci Peterson show was a solid watch if your into murder docs.
I disagree. I thought it was fairly useless. Too much opinion and not enough fact presentation.

Side Note: I knew both of them in college. They were friends with my roommates and were over for parties and get together's quite often. She was nice and bubbly and he was very arrogant and cocky.

Damn. Talk about insider info. Ha ha. Maybe u should make a doc?

He certainly could've added his opinion, like most of the people interviewed in the doc.

End of the day, didn't feel like it did much other than lay out what we already knew and add more opinions from friends and media.

Well. I was overseas during this entire time and as it turns out had no idea who any of the people involved actually were until I watched this. Kinda made me feel dumb missing this entire tragedy.

I mean I have no doubt that he did it, but from this doc I wouldn't have convicted him from the facts that were presented. There were no actual facts presented to show what they actually convicted him on.

Bodies washing up near where he'd taken out the boat. Hair in a tool on the boat. Paint can outlines for makeshift anchors... Enough circumstantial stuff I think. But I'm just a sometime juror, not a real pro.

It was a pretty awful, media grabbing story with her being pregnant. I don't usually follow these things, but even I was following in real time hoping they'd find her alive.

And all of that can easily be explained away if that's all there was. Those were just mentioned in passing in the doc without any real evidentiary clarification. I have no doubt there were more things like that. My point was the doc did a poor job of actually presenting the actual evidence. It was just mostly the friends and family telling their impressions and giving their opinions.....which were fairly obvious as to what they think. Nothing new there.

Agreed. I watched the doc and didn't hate it because I really didn't pay much attention to the story when it came out so the story was essentially "fresh" for me, but from an evidentiary analysis perspective it was quite weak.

Netflix, A Discovery of Witches. Season 1, episode 1. Let's roll. I love this genre, but have a quick trigger finger.

It’s alright, feel like it could have been a lot better as there were some interesting premises/world building. Thought season 2 was the best of the 3 seasons.

I remember watching the first episode and thinking "hey this is kind of neat." There was a show called Salem that I really liked, have either you seen that?

Hair in a tool on the boat.
I feel this is the most damning evidence. Her hair is in a tool on a boat that he only had for 2-3 weeks and she had no clue even existed. And that boat is proven to be in the same body of water that the bodies were found in....1.5 hr drive away.

Could easily be argued the tool had been in the house where it picked up the hair.

But yeah... A lot of stuff adds up and points to him when all are together.

Watched Sign Stealer about the Michigan football scandal last night. I found it entertaining, but I didn't pay a lot of attention to the story as it was happening.

I have to say Connor's spreadsheet of signs was pretty insane. That is a level of dedication to a craft you don't see often.

After watching, I think Michigan knowingly skirted the rules.

They are cheaters. Period. Look at their record before the accusations and let's see how they are this year.

Well, the last season of Umbrella Academy wasn't good.
This season I really only liked Lila and #5. Klaus wasn’t written well this season, so that was a major step back for me. Ben should’ve stayed dead and taken Allison with him.
They were clearly struggling to come up with material. There were a few poignant/funny moments during the season but it was mostly a hot mess.
About the only story line I liked was Luther's. The rest seemed like they were just trying to get it over with and the ending, while I thought the premise was really good, the execution was just kinda lazy.
New season of Slow Horses starts tomorrow night
Wait, you said what now? Love this show!

2 episodes in. Great storyline. Who doesn't like witches, vampires and demons fighting for power? Surprised how nice the production is. They definitely spent some money on show. So far I like it. I think. I really started to get a few moments of Edward and Bella from Twilight vibe. I hope it goes more blood and guts over cringey romance. If Jacob from Twilight makes an appearance I'm out. Ha ha

Yasmin can take me to the Jerk Store anytime she wants to though. I’ll be their #1 best seller.
