I figure I'd throw this one up since there is so much awesome action going, starting today.

Starting with Cleveland up 4-2 in the bottom of the 5th!!!

Sabathia on the hill, if Cleveland and the Yanks win today, is that all she wrote for Les Tigres?

You'd have to think so. But being from Cleveland, I certainly have my reservations about celebrating too early.Middle of the 6th...still 4-2 Tribe.

Oh please, the Cleveland race is offically over today

If the Yanks get through the weekend with Halladay and Burnett, it will be done

But i get the feeling the Tigers are starting to lay down. Can't blame them, they're looking up hill and the fought hard the last month.

I misread your initial post. Didn't notice you slipped the Yanks in there in regards to the Tigers. The best AL race starting this weekend is going to be for seeding. Three teams within a half game and the Yanks are closing in on the Sux for the division.

The NL is unbelievable though! If the Phils win and Mets lose today, I think that we'll have our best wild card era race EVER!!! 8 teams fighting for the playoffs still

Oh ya for sure. I did say "best AL race". :sadbanana:

Big one.

Man, if the Yanks can pull out tonight, Pettite vs. a Rook, day off tomorrow, rested bullpen, I'll feel great about things!

Looking ahead to tonight...

Yanks vs. Baltimore, Pettite vs. Burres, Gotta like the Yanks on paper, but Burres is a lefty who threw a good game at the Yanks, so you never know

Boston at Toronto, Bucholz vs. Litsch, Kids been great but hasn't pitched in 2 weeks, Litsch is probably running out of gas

Mets at DC, Pelfrey vs. Chico, who NY has hit. Pelfrey has been better and the Mess has to win evenutally, right?

Philly at The Lou, Moyer vs. Wainwright, Game of the night part I. Pujols and Edmonds dinged, good chance they sit which would be huge, Wainwright 1.29 era against the Phils this year

Brewers at Houston, Dave Busch against a guy with 6 innings this year, Brew Has have to take this one

Cincy at Chicago, Lilly vs. Shearn. Gotta like Lilly to neutralize those lefty Cincy sticks,

Dodgers at Rockies, Penny vs. Fogg, Game of the night part II Loser go home, Denver is unpredictable but you have to think the Dodgers stay alive after 3 straight losses. Loser goes 4.5 out

San Fran at Zona, Zito vs. Doug Davis, no excuse in the world for the D-Backs to drop this one

Pirates at Diego, Snell vs Chris Young, you have to like the Pods on paper and in real life

Apart from the death knell to the Rockie-Dodger loser, not much can change tonight, but things would be fascinating if the Phils won and the Mets lost. Can't see the Mets losing but

Lyrics by Willie Nelson

Turn out the lights

The party's over

They say that

All good things must end

Call it tonight

The party's over

And tomorrow starts

The same old thing again

But the crazy crazy party

Never seen so many people

Laughing dancing

Look at you you're having fun

But look at me

I'm almost cryin'

That don't keep her love from dyin'

Misery cause for me the party's over

Turn out the lights...

Once I had a love undyin'

I didn't keep it but I tried

Life for me was just one party

And then another

I broke her heart so many times

I had to have my parting wife

I had to have my party

Why broke her heart so many times

But one day she said

Sweetheart the party's over

Turn out the lights...

Rough one Grec, could be finito tonight, but keep your chin up and think of where you where in September 2005.

if pettite does his thing tonight we are 6 up in the loss with 10 to go. Assuming we dont have the TB our magic # is 5, correct?
That was my calculation. Sox are still at 9.However, Giambi out with a sore foot tonight, hope the PF isn't back. Phillips is out for the year, I wonder if we would find ourselves with Duncan starting Game 1 against Sabathia at 1B. Man, would that get things jacked up!

In someways, this was one of my favorite all time seasons. One of, not thee, but it was nice to be in a stretch run...bring on 2008!!!

Philly in a Must win 1-1 in the 7th in the Lou, I saw Moyer get out of a bases loaded jam with a K in the 3rd with the Mets winning

Rocks lead the Dodgers 4-3 in the top of the 6th, getting to Penny

Phils in Extras AGAIN, 1-1 in the 10th, 2 on, one out, red hot Jayson Werth up!

Milwaulkee scores 2 in the 9th to tie, 4-4 bottom half on a Rickie "Better than Cano" Weeks HOMER!!!

Dodgers up 5-4 top 8 in Colorado!

WHAT A RACE!!!

Rockies stay alive on a 2 run homer by Hawpe in the 8th to win 6-5

Brewers lose in the 10th

Phillies lose in the 10th

Pods losing 3-2 top 9

D-Backs up 6-4 top 8

No other sport compares with this time of year. Its like championship Sunday every day!

Just got back from the Cub game.....HOLY #### was the crowd into it.....I've never heard it so loud.

Great game.

Rockies with another huge win. IIRC they have a series @ SD next week. Very big.

Wainright owns the Phils but certainly a little more timely hitting late would have been nice. All of a sudden the Phils can't buy a hit. 2 (or 3) the other night through 9, last night was 5 iirc.

Very clutch STL win, 2 outs and they steal second, score on a single.

Phils get rid of the half game today, beginning the four game set @ Wash

Well it looks like we've had a market correction in the NL East

Phils down 6-2 in Washington, early

Mets up 3-0 in Florida in the 3rd

Phils bullpen beatup and Fish looking like quitters, 2.5 goes to 3.5 tonight and the Phils refocus on the wildcard. Well it was still a hell of a scare!
