Standard Scoring League, Round 1 Playoff game.  Would you play Manning at home against the Lions, as bad as he's performed much of the season?  Or would you start Mariota at the Chiefs in a hostile environment in near zero degree temperatures this Sunday?  Feel free to comment on RBs and WRs too if you'd like.  I'm leaning Stewart, Dixon, Beckham, Evans and the 3rd depends on whether Michael Thomas is playing.  Thanks!!

MY TEAM:

QBs  Eli Manning, Marcus Mariota

RBs  Jonathan Stewart, Mark Ingram, Terrence West, Kenneth Dixon, Mike Gillislee (start 2)

WRs  Odell Beckham, Mike Evans, Michael Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, Kenny Britt, Ty Montgomery (start 3)

K  Cairo Santos

DST  Chiefs

MY OPPONENT:

QBs  Jameis Winston, Ben Roethlisberger

RBs  Ezekiel Elliott, Robert Kelley, Tevin Coleman, Matt Asiata, Alfred Morris

WRs  Antonio Brown, Kelvin Benjamin, Jarvis Landry, Cameron Brate, Jimmy Graham (played = 3 pts.)

K  Kai Forbath

DST  Vikings, Titans

As well as Mariota is playing I think the Chiefs defense at home is going to be a tough assignment especially in the cold. The Giants have more to play for in my opinion in order to stay close to Dallas and even though Eli is Eli I think he has the better overall matchup. I'd go Eli.

Agree on Stewart & Dixon. Also agree on OBJ, Evans and Thomas.

Looks like you have a tough opponent though !

Best of luck - please see mine

I'd go Mariota. He's a better player, and the Chiefs while good at making plays, also give up plays too. They also have had issues with running QB throughout Reid's tenure. I think Mariota has a slightly higher floor, and a much higher ceiling. Eli has basically been worthless whenever Beckham isn't taking a short route for a long TD. In addition, since you have Beckham, I don't think it would hurt to diversify.

I think you'd be making a big mistake starting Thomas over Sanders. Sanders has been on fire of late, and has a better matchup, I think his floor is a lot higher than Thomas, and they have similar ceilings. Denver can't run at all, and Siemian has been asked to carry the offense, which is probably bad for Denver, but great for Sanders.

All things being even I would say Marcus, but all is not even.

Marcus on the road in a cold environment against a solid D

Eli at home,I know he's been "in a slump",against a dome team playing in the elements

I think G-Men get a few more possesions than normal in this one and Eli breaks wind and gets untracked.

Assuming 4 point passing TD's I give Marcus 18 points this week and Eli 23
