Stud Player You Are Sitting For A Scrub In The Super Bowl (1 Viewer)

Have Todd Gurley on the pine against Seattle in Seattle for Denard Robinson against New Orleans in New Orleans in PPR.

STL should be losing most the day and will ditch the run, and Denard on a fast turf against a bad team without their stud QB may cause for a lot of running later on. Peterson is my other RB and he is a must start if playing.

Any guts from those out there to bench their studs in the biggest game of the year?

What bold moves are you making? I would like to hear.

Don't think it qualifies as bold but benching Kelce/Watson for Tye.

Considering benching Freeman for West but not sure if I'm going to pull that trigger. On the fence.

Benched Tyrod Taylor for Cousins but that's a lateral move according to the FBG rankings. Think Cousins is more likely to end up in a shootout this week.

In another league, I am doing the same Gurley for Robinson swap though -- right there with you.

My gut is telling me to bench Cam Newton and start Kellen Moore

Contemplating benching Gurley for Hightower and this is after I blasted everyone for using Hightower in their league plaoffs. Talk about being a hypocrite :bag: Of course I could change my mind between now and Sunday and probably will :)

I'm starting Michael in one league :wall: , and its not because I think he will do good, its because he is the only guy I could grab with McCoy down.

I am not happy about it but its him or DeMarco Murray and I have to take the guy who may get the ball more than twice this week.

Someone told me a month ago I would be starting C-Mike over Murray in the Super Bowl, I would have laughed really hard.

Going into the season I thought I was money with Adrian Peterson and Lamar Miller as my RBs. For our championship Miller out, Denard Robinson in. I just hope there is clarity with Peterson prior to the game. McKinnon is sitting on my bench just in case. If you had told me I'd be starting Robinson and McKinnon in the championship at the beginning of the season I'd have laughed you out of the room.

My other 'uh oh' is AJ Green but luckily I have some decent options there.

You got that right, you can't afford another non-use of Murray in the Super Bowl. Watch Murray blow up this week.

While not a scrub, I'll likely be sitting my first round pick (Forte) for a WW addition (C. West) and that just feels odd.

Benching Gurley for Michael Floyd in the Flex (DeAngelo @ RB.)

Starting AJ Green (over Travis Benjamin) at WR3. AB & AR15 have good matchups, not overly concerned about WR production from those four.

Think I'm gonna sit Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Crabtree and Emmanuel Sanders in favor of Kamar Aiken, Denard Robinson and Tim Hightower. Non-ppr.

-Once again Fitzgerald draws the toughest matchup of the 3 WRs. He's scored 2 TDs since week 3 and the targets have been diminishing since all three WRs have been healthy.

-Crabtree draws the plus matchup vs the Chargers tonight, but on the whole, the Chargers have allowed very few big games to WRs.

-Sanders also draws the better matchup vs the Bengals. However, I just see this game as 2 very good defenses vs two backup QBs. Think its going to be a grind for either team to score.

+The Ravens know they need to score a ton of points to win that game, and they will likely be playing catchup for most of this one. They will be pass happy throughout, and the Steelers secondary has been bad.

+If Yeldon is out, Denard is a top 5 RB play.

+Jax has been tough on RBs, but Hightower got 16 touches even in catchup mode last week. He's got a reasonably high floor, and a 100+ a couple TDs is not out of the question if this goes to a shootout.

If Brees plays you'd crazy to play Tye over Watson. Jax gives it up like a drunk virgin girl on prom night to the tight end spot.

Minnesota is rather stiff against tight ends. I realize the no odb thing is attracting you to Tye and if Brees sits I can see it as a decent bet.

However, odb being out doesn't necessarily benefit Tye BC odb does draw double coverage and leave Tye open in the middle.

AJ to the bench, for who knows.

Powell, Sneed, Payne?
the aj owners in all my leagues were on a massive whine and cry mode the entire week. i didn't know any of them actually survived. congrats!
I'm filling his position with M Bryant and Decker........this is a Flex position(could also go with Cobb).

Just wish I wouldn't have dropped Woodhead a few weeks ago.

For our championship Miller out, Denard Robinson in.
Whats your rationale for this? I have the same decision and things just look too cloudy around why Miller missed 2nd half last week.
I just don't trust the Dolphins right now and Robinson should get all of the carries against a bad run defense. Miller's floor this week is really low due to the uncertainty and his ceiling isn't much higher than Robinson's IMO.

Yeah im leaning that way too. Last week looked sweet too, though and he flopped in stNdard scoring. Any news on his foot?

I am sitting Miller for Chark because I think MIA played Ajayi last week because they want to see how he performs and will play him again, and maybe even Damian Williams, preparing for the free agency decision on Lamar. They may even be hoping less carries and yards for Miller keep his price down (assuming he will be no more or less likely to stay for them testing out the others this weekend - and they may know or feel he has already made his decision one way or the other). I also think they have essentially given up on the season and no one from the mediocre line will be struggling to pound out running lanes. I don't like West a lot (Ware apparently back and aside from the TD play Chark had a pile of no gains, 1 and 2 yard runs Sunday), but I think he has a lot better chance to see a dozen or even 15 touches than Miller and about the same chance per attempt to break one. And he's still playing for something.

One league (PPR): Shoelace, Riddick, Powell in, Miller, D. Murray out.

Another (PPR): If Stewart doesn't play: Riddick, Michael in, Hill, Hillman, Ivory out.

I did that last week and was wrong. Not sure which way I go this week plus I have Hightower and Denard.

I'm considering going with Cousins over Brady though. Is that crazy?

Edit to add, didn't read the whole thread and just saw I'm the second one to ask about Cousins and Brady.

Fabiano suggests going Cousins over Rodgers but would people really bench Brady though. He has had way more success than Rodgers.

I'm not hurting at QB since I have Bortles and Palmer in my finals.

Are people going to put their hopes on Cousins? I would like to here why on this.

In one league, I'm sitting Lamar Miller & Gurley, rolling out Karlos Williams. I think he'll be a top 5 RB this week against that soft Cowboys run D.

Contemplating benching Cam for Bortles. Bortles has been lighting it up (as has Cam), and I'm worried that if Carolina gets up early, they may sit their starters in the third or fourth quarter. If I knew cam would be in all game, it's a no brainier, but is it worth the risk to potentially only get 2 quarters of production?

Have not decided yet but have Gurley in 4 dynasty leagues and leaning benching him in 2-3 of them in favor of inferior players like Denard, DMC, Woodhead, Hightower and I even Rashad Jennings which seems absurd.

I will add this to anyone thinking about benching Gurley and my main holdup. These are all PPR leagues and Seattle gives up a ton of receptions to RB's and consistently. Have not checked but would not be surprised if they led the league in RB receptions. Just don't know how much this helps Gurley. That new OC said he was going to try and get him in space more over a week ago and he caught two passes I think last week but that's not super encouraging.

Flip flopping on McFadden or Woodhead as well as maybe benching Hopkins or DT in favor Ginn, Diggs, Hurns and/or Lockett. Both are PPR

Brady against the Jets D without Edelman and a dinged Amendola scares me compared to Cousins against an Eagles D that is down a few corners and has the division title to go get. That and he's outscored Brady the last 2 weeks. Haven't decided yet and not sure I can actually bench Brady but we'll see.

I'm flip flopping but I just don't see how I'm going to start Hightower over Gurley in the most important game of the year, even against Seattle. Hell, Gurley could rip one for 48 yds and a TD just based on talent. Hopefully they quit trying to run him between the tackles when it isn't working. They should also try and throw him the ball in space. I'd rather lose with Gurley in my lineup than lose with him on the bench, especially for a player like Tim Hightower.

Starting Bilal Powell and Karlos Williams over Gurley in one league (PPR) and Sammy Watkins over Julio Jones in another league (non PPR).

I'm also flip flopping on Todd Gurley. Can start him as my RB2 over Karlos Williams or as my flex over Denard Robinson or Rueben Randle. David Johnson is my RB1. Right now I have Gurley as my flex

Stud may be a strong statement but rather than plau Eli or Rivers (who I have used all year) I instead opted to pick up and start Cousins.
