Subscriber Contest - I Wonder What the Most "typical' Team is (1 Viewer)

Looking the ownership percentages in the contest Here, I came to realize that almost all of my players are "typical" (i.e. on a high percentage of rosters relative to other players). Happily, though I have a lot of popular guys, my team is at least unique somehow. I'm curious what the most "typical" team would be (I guess measured by the sum of the ownership percentage of all the players). My percentage is

25.9% Drew Brees $21

19.5% Matt Leinart $14

39.2% David Garrard $2

12.1% LaDainian Tomlinson $70

21.9% Adrian Peterson $23

15.3% DeShaun Foster $13

18.5% Dominic Rhodes $3

19.7% Tony Hunt $1

14.1% T.J. Houshmandzadeh $34

32.9% Santonio Holmes $14

15.1% Ronald Curry $8

29.7% Wes Welker $3

24.8% Jacoby Jones $2

16.0% Chris Henry $2

15.2% Dennis Northcutt $1

12.3% Sinorice Moss $1

02.0% Todd Heap $26

22.1% Eric Johnson $1

13.1% Rian Lindell $1

26.5% John Kasay $1

22.1% Chicago Bears $8

15.2% Arizona Cardinals $1

443.2% total (put another way the average guy on my team is owned by just over 20% over the contest entries.

Okay I have no life and I found an easy way to get the answer fairly quickly :nerd: . It turns out the total value of a roster of "most owned" players would only cost $202 against the cap ($204 if you use Dallas instead of Tennessee).

The total of all the percentages is 498.3 (an average of 22.65% owned per player) Nice to see there's no repeat of the Frank Gore 107% ownership situation of last year :)

Here it is

39.2 David Garrard $ 2 39.2

32.9 Santonio Holmes $14 32.9

29.7 Wes Welker $ 3 29.7

26.5 John Kasay $ 1 26.5

26.1 Neil Rackers $ 2 26.1

25.9 Drew Brees $21 25.9

24.8 Jacoby Jones $ 2 24.8

22.2 Patrick Crayton $ 3 22.2

22.1 Eric Johnson $ 1 22.1

22.1 Chicago Bears $ 8 22.1

21.9 Adrian Peterson $23 21.9

20.0 Lee Evans $29 20.0

19.7 Tony Hunt $ 1 19.7

19.7 Daunte Culpepper $ 4 19.7

19.5 Matt Leinart $14 19.5

19.5 Vincent Jackson $17 19.5

18.5 Ryan Longwell $ 1 18.5

18.5 Dominic Rhodes $ 3 18.5

18.0 Bo Scaife $ 9 18.0

17.2 Bernard Berrian $16 17.2

17.2 Marques Colston $27 17.2

17.1 Tennessee Titans $ 1 17.1

It actually is a valid roster, though it's seriously thin at RB, since Hunt and Rhodes both tallied 0.00

FWIW this entry would ahve scored 133.80 for the week (tied for 8466th place)

As a total aside this is my Reche Caldwell  lineup of the week. This is actually the 21st place entry for week 1, including 6 kickers and 6 defenses (!):

------------------------------------

Drew Brees $21 8.20

Eli Manning $14 38.80

Maurice Jones-Drew $40 7.50

Willis McGahee $29 12.60

Adrian Peterson $23 22.80

Plaxico Burress $29 40.40

Jerricho Cotchery $24 11.70

Calvin Johnson $23 17.00

Ronald Curry $8 29.30

Kellen Winslow Jr $24 14.30

Matt Stover $3 9.00

Rian Lindell $1 2.00

Ryan Longwell $1 8.00

Martin Gramatica $1 0.00

Nick Folk $1 10.00

Sebastian Janikowski $1 3.00

San Francisco 49ers $2 5.00

Arizona Cardinals $1 5.00

Tennessee Titans $1 4.00

Detroit Lions $1 9.00

------------------------------------

TOTAL 213.90

Drew Brees - 25.9%

Matt Leinart - 19.5%

RB's - I chose 4 of the top 11 in terms of %

Adrian Peterson - 21.9%

Willis McGahee - 15.5%

Ladell Betts - 14.5%

Cadillac Williams - 12.0%

Jerome Harrison - 3.4%

WR's - I chose 5 of the top 7 in terms of %

Santonio Holmes - 32.9%

Wes Welker - 29.7%

Patrick Crayton - 22.2%

Lee Evans - 20.0%

Marques Colston - 17.2%

Drew Bennett - 11.6%

TE's - I chose 3 of the top 6 in terms of %

Eric Johnson - 22.1%

Heath Miller - 9.3%

Ben Watson - 7.3%

K's - I chose 3 of the top 5 in terms of %

John Kasay - 26.5%

Ryan Longwell - 18.5%

Nick Folk - 13.9%

D's - I chose 2 of the top 7 in terms of %

Baltimore Ravens - 15.7%

San Diego Chargers - 13.5%

Overall, that's 412.3%. BTW, I scored only 152.60 in week 1. I guess my only wildcard is Jerome Harrison.

I wonder what % of the cuts this week will have

Reggie Bush and LaDainian Tomlinson (which were owned in 12.3 and 12.1%) or Drew Brees at 25.9%.

Well, considering the pool only cuts down to 10,000 after week 2, I'd say those LT/Bush/Brees owners may have had an off week at the right time. FYI - In week 1, the team at #10,000 scored 123.75 points. A score of around 130 in week 2 should keep you safe for week 3.
