Umm, LT is hung up on 4 pts per TD while he is saying the norm is 6 pts. The big red X is in reference to this point as, if there was a poll, most leagues in fact use 4 pts for a passing TD and not 6 pts. The format of Survivor never even entered into the conversation until your last post and while it may not be the best format, in your opinion, how else are you going to run a contest with 8,000+ people entering it? I doubt everyone will want to set up 12-team leagues and all have drafts and what not. Survivor is the only way to go with this and it works out quite well.

Are those cramps hurting this month, geez. Take some Midol and hop in the bubble bath. The fact is you and whoever else are complaining about something that is being handed to you for nothing. You can choose to like it and accept it or not like it and not play it. It is not that hard of an option to behold. Dont know how long you have been around these parts but Survivor leagues have been happening here, and this contest for the last 4 years... save last year and I have never heard of format being a problem. Pick your 3 QB's and add up to $250 and enjoy the opportunity given to you.

Well, look at it as you wish, but when someone offers me something for free that they have thought through in setting it up and has decided that's how they want it, I just graciously accept and say thanks. I guess you aren't seeing the point I'm making, and that's disappointing.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I guess I could just say thanks and accept things, but that is not in my personaility. For example, let's say I made my wife dinner (which I usually do), and she says thanks honey every single night, but deep inside she really doesn't like pork even close to the way she likes chicken. I am not insulted if she tells me that for the future could we do chicken more times a week than pork? I would rather her tell me how she feels so that I can adjust and make her happy. I am more about getting IT right than being right. If my style is too straight forward I apologize...I am from NJ

PK, you are right, the 4 pts and the PPR are what I was "hung up on." There were a few other threads that did show the 6 pt TD is used more frequently and David acknowledged that they will be looking at it next year as it takes a lot to redo all their databases (I hope I have that right David)

It is Ok for us to look at it differently...As for cooking, I work very long hours, but I have much more interest in cooking than she does so why not. I let her deal with all the cleaning...It works out well.

I had a great idea for an Excel (or maybe SAS or JMP or something) formula or program that could pick the absolute best team for you based on your own projections..

In other words, I want to be able to put the players' names in the first column, MY projected fantasy points in the second column, and their $cost in the third column and set up a formula or program to pick the combination of 3 QBs, 5 RBs, 7 WRs, 2 TEs, 2 PKs, and 2 TDs that net me the most fantasy points and cost <= $250...

There should be an easy way to do that -- I just haven't taken the time to figure it out yet..

I build a spreadsheet, but don't have a program to try all the combinations. Not sure how many combinations there are, but I'm sure the number is astronomical. Just the number of ways to choose 7 WRs from a list of 70 or so would be enormous.You'd also need to factor in bye weeks, so your "best" team doesn't end up with too few starters for any single week.
