Dumb question, once the team is submitted where do we go to see it? I get a page that says I have not submitted an entry.

Mine has the time I submitted it and the boxes are checked that I picked. It looks just like the original page where you picked.

I think it's funny that people are using DD to pick their team for this contest. This is one area where using DD makes little or no sense. As with any contest, luck takes a bigger part. To use DD to try and predict what each player will score from week to week doesn't fly. Every week, any player can come out of nowhere to score a TD or have a big game. With a contest like this, you need to try to give yourself as many players that have the opportunity to score or have a big game and it's not always the better players. DD is not capable of predicting when those games will occur, and neither are we. But, you can limit your risk by spreading your money out on solid, but not spectacular players. Just my :2cents:
Hey Bristol...I didn't use DD to pick my team...I just put it in after I saw people doing it here to calculate a score. Plus some have different predictions in the DD instead of FBG rankings as well.I also noticed that there were a few different starters not listed. Probably since they were not starting at the time the contest was. Both Lundy and the Atlanta kicker to name two.

Maybe, but if I have to choose between a better player and a lesser player for a chance to score points in any given week, I'll put my money on the better player.

I agree that this is correct in regards to certain positions, but there are some where it is smarter to soread it out to lesser players. Once the deadline passes, I will post my team and you will see what I mean. I learned a lot about this contest two years ago and will not make the same mistakes twice.

Don't tap the glass, please.

Deadline is fast approaching on this and I can't make my mind up on what final strategy to use! For all of you guys new to this the typical cutoff in year's past was in fact usually above 125 and often in the 130's. While the DD is good at giving you an idea of value, I don't care how well you pick your team, you won't find any combination resulting in 130+ per week from the program. I came close with one iteration, but it has a really bad bye week with a low of 102 in week 3. Also realize that in the past it was not uncommon at all to see teams blow up for 160-180 in a week. For those new to this format, there is a very discinct strategy that definitely improves your odds of making it to the endgame, but it directly conflicts with winning the endgame. This year the cutoff points are a little less brutal than in the past (at the end), so I'm hoping my squad can finally hurdle the lat two weeks to bring me some dough!

Target value of points for anyone wanting to see what a well picked value roster can get you using DD's projections is:

3804 (total team with good depth)

1901 (starters only)

3547 (total team with stud starters)

1987 (starters only)

Haven't seen anyone even close on this yet FWIW... :football:

What, you think I'm gonna unveil my tactics before the contest locks?! In the 2 times we have done this format I have barely missed the cut with 1-2 weeks to go each year, but my squad has never even come close to challenging for the points required to win the overall. So, while I am confident that I have a good plan to make the finals, winning the big money takes something a little different.

Total points used. Will post actual roster after lockdown.

I will also admit to revisions based on bye weeks. I remember past contests like this where I have had strong teams only to be eliminated because I wasn't thinking and in week 7 or 8 I would have many of my studs on bye at the same time. That's all it took to boot me.

I spent all my lunch money on QB's

Always interesting to see where people spend their dough.

QB - 37

RB - 116

WR - 75

TE - 11

K - 5

D - 6

Total - 250

I'm not crazy about the QB's or the Defense, but should be able to put up solid numbers from each slot.

This is what I have after numerous variations:

QB Total 47

RB Total 108

WR Total 70

TE Total 16

PK Total 3

TD Total 6

Grand Total 250

QB 38

RB 100

WR 82

TE 19

PK 3

D 8

I bet I have two of the most popular players at a particular position, but I don't want to name them or say why I think so many people have them just yet...

QB - 37

RB - 99

WR - 95

TE - 9

PK - 3

D - 7

I'll be sweating week 3 and 6 I figure... if I am lucky enough to make it that far.

Wow, talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel at every position besides RB....I'm interested in seeing how this turns out.
Actually, never mind. With a minimum of 3 QB's you have to choose from three of these guys:A Feeley - 2J Martin NO - 2C Nall BUF - 2K Clemens NYJ - 2And with 7 WR's you have to pick 7 of these guys:D Gabriel OAK - 1T Pinkston PHI - 1D Carter CAR - 1A Davis BUF - 1W Welker MIA - 1D Hall KC - 1B Johnson ARI - 1R Curry OAK - 1M Hass NO - 1D Boston TB - 1K Colbert CAR - 1C Rogers DET - 1V Jackson SD - 1B Berrian CHI - 1B Finneran ATL - 1D Henderson NO - 1M Robinson MIN - 1S Vines DET - 1P Warrick SEA - 1P Crayton DAL - 1C Roby TEN - 1D Watts DEN - 1I don't even see 7 WR2's out of that list. Helluva TE crew to choose 2 from:J Kleinsasser MIN - 1D Byrd STL - 1S Alexander DEN - 1K Mangum CAR - 1B Fletcher IND - 1D Martin GB - 1M Schobel PHI - 1M Lewis JAX - 1D Jolley NYJ - 1K Wilson KC - 1S Heiden CLE - 1A Becht TB - 1G Wrighster JAX - 1D Lee GB - 1R Kelly CIN - 1B Scaife TEN - 1I Mili SEA - 1K Brady JAX - 1D Graham NE - 1C Anderson OAK - 1D Wilcox BAL - 1M Pollard DET - 1E Johnson SF - 1L Pope ARI - 1C Baker NYJ - 1T Scheffler DEN - 1Someone with a more well rounded team is going to stomp you as soon as one of your big RB's is on a bye and another one has a down week. I don't see you scoring more than a few points a week outside of your RB's.....You better hope all of your RB's have cake opponents the weeks the other ones are on byes. But with as much as D's change from year to year, how will you actually be able to predict that....
Won't even make it to the first bye week. Assume he's got LT, LJ and SA (217 of his 237). Give them each 150 total yards, 5 receptions and 2 TD's per week-- Pretty respectable numbers and about what you'd hope for. That's 32 points apiece, except that 32 of them are on your bench. You get 64 points. As I recall, the cutoff point most weeks was around 115. Where do you get 50 more points out of the rest of that team?
Totally forgot that the guy will only get two of the seemingly 4-5 stud RB's on his squad.....
Looking back, it seems like my 115 point cutoff was too low. Most weeks it was closer to 135. Good luck joffer.
Well, his 1 dollar Ks, WRs, TEs and Ds will probably score 50 points on their own each week, so all he needs his stud RBs to get is about 85 points a week. And he'd become a HUGE favorite if one of his two dollar QBs takes a snap.

I was bounced in week 7 last year, just want to beat that this year.

Never saw Lundy appear in the contest...just hoping that I can make it past a few early cuts and still be in the contest.

Glad to say that Charles Rodgers will not doom my team this year.

I'm in with this breakdown:

QB - 32

RB - 109

WR - 88

TE - 16
