IMO, it is all how you set the dominator up. I have no idea where people are getting some of the numbers they are getting. As an example, my brother and each used DD to run our league's draft. My dominator showed me with the strongest team while his showed me having the 3rd worst team.Total noob here. So far the best team I can get is about 2900.How are people getting over 500 QB strength in DD? I put in Peyton, Carson, and Brady in just for a test and it only goes to 500. I dont see how any other combo of 3 could be much better than that. Am I doing something wrong in DD?QB: 542 $41RB: 876 $120WR: 1,133 $68TE: 230 $10PK: 222 $5Def: 206 $63209...188 a week...but I doubt I hit this all the timeMapmaker said:Thats it ... I'd agree. I have no idea how people are getting these numbers either. I ran a team with LJ, Alexander, LT, CJ, Steve Smith, and a few more studs and didn't get these numbers. I have my scoring system set to the scoring system used in this league, so it must be another difference in setup.IMO, it is all how you set the dominator up. I think if you are using the default projections form FBG....and you've configured all of the setup options the same....DD should come out with the same results.![]()

Yes, but it's Doug, not Dodds. So we're all waiting for Dodds to rise and ask (ala Prez. Clinton in the Simpson's Halloween Special) "Is it noon already!?!?"![]()
Oh ok, so if Joe Fantasy Guy decides Vernand Morency is going to get 1800 yards and 15 touchdowns, he gets him for a buck and watches his team strength inflate. .....said the man who has obviously never won a fantasy football leagueRB depth in PPR survivor contests doesn't always equal success. Personally, in a contest such as this, it is my inclination to pick as many high reception receivers as possible. Stud WRs can carry a team when you have steady, but non-flashy RBs.Very, VERYdickey moe said:I am not. You have to take your chances some place. A stud RB is irreplaceable and will not come out of any of the under $10 players. There will be a few stud recievers below the $10 mark but you must be lucky enough to pick them.I am surprised by the number of people who are spending peanuts on 7 WRs in a PPR contest and (IMO) paying through the nose for a stud RBIMO, you have a much better chance at some cheap WR stepping up and becoming at least a semi-stud than lucking out and winning the lottery with the one Mike Anderson or Willie Parker needle in a haystack that pops up each season.

Are people not allowed to state their opinions or takes? Why is he suddenly tossed aside as not capable of winning a league? If you feel different then tell the rest of us what your recipe is for success so we can all learn. Thanks.Uhhhh...have you read this thread yet? I have already made comments on what I think the recipe to win would be. It's not taking high priced WRs. Any player can have a bad game. With WR it's magnified because they are dependant on QB's who may also have a bad game. By no fault of their own, it would then make them have a bad game. I would much rather stockpile up on middle of the road type WR that should get solid, not spectacular numbers each week......said the man who has obviously never won a fantasy football leagueRB depth in PPR survivor contests doesn't always equal success. It's good logic. I picked my team in much the same way. If you get two RB scoring two touchdowns and have hundreds of all-purpose yards every week your team will be more sturdy than if you are relying on WR to step up. I picked maybe 4 top RB with unquestioned starter status and a range of cheap WR who could all easily put up a TD any week.Uhhhh...have you read this thread yet? QB - Peyton Manning - 29QB - Michael Vick - 17QB - Steve McNair - 13RB - Rudi Johnson - 42RB - Willis McGahee - 37RB - Willie Parker - 32RB - Frank Gore - 10RB - Brandon Jacobs - 2WR - Terry Glenn - 13WR - Reggie Brown - 13WR - Keenan McCardell - 10WR - Antonio Bryant - 9WR - Brandon Stokley - 2WR - Doug Gabriel - 1WR - David Boston - 1TE - Ben Watson - 9TE - Bubba Franks - 2PK - Mike Vanderjagt - 2PK - David Akers - 2TD - Arizona Cardinals - 2TD - Buffalo Bills - 2Total value: 250 I'm willing to concede if you think I overpaid for Manning, but I'd take the chance of him throwing 5 TDs in a game for 13 more than a sturdy Plummer-type guy. I think I basically lifted the cost out of WR.In any case, I think my WR for 49 total are decent enough compared to a more "stacked" group of WR, given how safe my RB situation should be.It's good logic. Lots of good picks, but T. Bell as #2RB?? That's a risky pick, but I suppose the winner is one who gets lucky somewhere.Who's getting 2nd place in this thing??
and Duckett, Cobbs and Houston as bye week fillins could be a killer.Lots of good picks, but T. Bell as #2RB?? That's a risky pick, but I suppose the winner is one who gets lucky somewhere.Who's getting 2nd place in this thing??
I look at Tater and Cobbs as one RB...While Bell, by himself, is a risky RB2, and Cobbs, by himself, is a sub-par bye-week fill-in -- I think, taken together, they make up a pretty solid RB2.. And with Larry Johnson as my RB1, I think I am VERY solid at the position.I agree with Duckett and Houston as my by-week fill-ins, I could be in touble.. I need Duckett to have his 2-TD game on L Johnson's bye-week and I will be okayand Duckett, Cobbs and Houston as bye week fillins could be a killer.Lots of good picks, but T. Bell as #2RB??
