If Gronk is out a couple games, it's another major injury. Could be 20% of the surviving teams.

Even though he's not on my team, it sucks cause he's fun to watch.

Sucky way for my Chandler investment to payoff. Hate that for Gronk. On top of the other receiver injuries that's brutal for the Patriots.

Wow. Anderson and Chandler picked a good time to finally show up for me in a big spot.

198.40 + (West minus 14.50) so I'm on to Week 13 :pickle:

Cut line stands at 178.00.

Again there are very few players going tomorrow night because of all of the injuries to key Ravens (and the fact that Browns and Ravens aren't all that popular in this contest). Best of luck to those sweating the Turk!

-QG

Again the counts for Monday night of non-injured players (and some are questionable to go).

Honestly wouldn't be surprised if the cut moves hardly at all (like not even making in to 180).

Monday Night:

TD Cleveland Browns CLE 137

TE Crockett Gillmore BAL 60

RB Isaiah Crowell CLE 58

RB Terrance West BAL 54

TD Baltimore Ravens BAL 50

RB Duke Johnson CLE 45

PK Justin Tucker BAL 30

TE Maxx Williams BAL 25

WR Brian Hartline CLE 13

RB Javorius Allen BAL 6

WR Kamar Aiken BAL 6

WR Marlon Brown BAL 6

QB Johnny Manziel CLE 4

WR Taylor Gabriel CLE 3

WR Dwayne Bowe CLE 2

I hope you are right. I'm 487 with only gillmore left (-14.90)
With the cutline already high, most rosters that are close to the cutline are going to need to have at least a decent score from their remaining players before that guy starts counting. And they have to be situated close enough to the cutline for that improved score to matter.

Gillmore is one of the guys that can move the line I guess - but he's a complementary guy so most of the time like in your case he's replacing a big number.

The defenses are the wild card since they are up against only one other score on most rosters and there were some defenses that put up a clunker (Miami had a 1.0 and they are, I believe, the most owned defense).

And again fully half of the teams left definitely have 0 players left. And it's actually more when you figure that there's gotta be some rosters that have more than one of these guys.

I think a handful of entries might get a miracle from a defense, a Crowell, or a Gillmore. But that's it.

Good luck!

So the line may not/likely won't move at all? Man, I'm holding by a thread. 490th place with 178.55 points vs the 178.00 cutoff. I own Cleve D though which may give me an out as they were ones that could have moved it?

Made it through with a 213 point week thanks to CJ Anderson, Jarvis Landry, and Wheaton.

Sorry to those who didn't make it.

Wow, after the CJ Anderson game, I am sitting in 16th place for the week with Brown (-8) left. Highest I've finished in a single week in quite a while.

There's so few players going (and relatively few entries left) that I was able to figure out that only 394 entries have 1 or more active players left. 606 are done scoring.

It will be really interesting to see how much the cut moves tonight. I agree it shouldn't move much at all. I have no players tonight, but currently sit 13 points above the cut...so should be on to next week (without Gronk? Ugh)!

Good luck to those sweating tonight!

I've done this contest for 3 years now and every year I have gotten farther. Already making some mental notes of things I want to do differently next year. Good luck to all that remain.

Looks like over half the top 10 are going to be out. I have only been doing this contest a few years but I do not remember a cut line being so high with so much late game drama (Wheaton/Anderson playing late and having their best game of the year) along with heavily owned Brady playing the late game. Pretty exciting stuff!

I am a long time lurker limited poster. GL to all!

(Ironically I do not own either Anderson or Wheaton but will be moving along). Been carried all year by having Gronkowski, Eifert, J. Reed at TE.

Out this week as well. Gronk and Chandler made it interesting but not having Wheaton was killer. I invested heavily in WR and only Megatron showed up.

It sucks because Wheaton was such a bad pick until he wasn't. I tried to go for lesser owned WR and it didn't pay off in week 12.

So given the relatively small ownership numbers involved and entries left I've dug a little bit deeper.

There are 192 entries not in the top 500 that still have players remaining. So the other 308 are already done.

40 are ranked 901-1000. (145.50 is 903rd place)

49 are ranked 801-900 (155.90 is 802nd place)

30 are ranked 701-800 (163.40 is 708th place)

39 are ranked 601-700 (171.15 is 601st place)

34 are ranked 501-600 (177.95 is 501st place)

48 are ranked 401-500 (183.20 is 401st place)

37 are ranked 301-400 (190.05 is 305th place)

41 are ranked 201-300 (198.25 is 201st place)

40 are ranked 101-200 (208.40 is 102nd place)

36 are ranked 1-100 (251.05 is 1st place)

The top 169 have absolutely clinched a spot for next week (without me going into the math of individual teams - surely it's many many more than that already).

126 entries with players left are in the range of 168-188 (+/- 10 from the current cut line). They are in places 339-632.

70 entries with players left are in the range of 173-183 (+/- 5 from the current cut line). They are in places 410-577.

I do think the line will move a little as there are some entries that have one or both defenses and will improve on a low number or zero. That said, personally I'd be surprised if it ended up north of say, 180.

Good luck everyone!

sitting @ 185.75, so cautiously optimistic moving onto week13

not thrilled about gronk missing a week, but it certainly could have been worse. my gronk-less TE quartet will need reed, eifert & richard mr rodgers to show up big next week. wouldnt hurt for julio or cooks to make a showing either.

good luck to all.

wow so that final play moved the cut line up by 0.55 it looks like!

Final cut 179.60 unofficially per the Igomatic. Only moved 1.60.

-QG

185.75 - no room for style points here. Survive and advance...

Thru 12:

QB: Brady (6), Palmer (4), Taylor (2)

I wrote him off last week, but Tyrod got me through. Huge week

RB: Peterson (8), Martin (8), Ivory (7), Hill (5), Mathews (4), Michael (0)

All hands on deck, going to need all my flex spots at RB again

WR: Landry (10), Julio (9), Edelman (7), Beasley (5), Royal (1), Adams (1)

Hope you saved some points for next week Jarvis

TE: Eifert (9), V Davis (4), Cameron (3), Celek (3)

A nation's eyes turn towards Eifert's Week 13 status

K: Janikowski (7), Scobee (2), Bullock (2), None (1)

Bullock coming on strong late

D: Raiders (7), Saints (3), Chargers (2)

One time, you horrible defenses. One time.

To my fellow survivors, I wish the very best of luck!

(To 249 of you ;) )

It looks like 18 entries that were below the cut line going into Monday night played their way in.

The farthest back was entry 107776 who was in 666th place and 12.10 points out of 500th going into Monday.

It looks like 5 entries made it into the final 500 based on that game-ending blocked field goal return touchdown.

I don't think anybody missed out because they didn't have Tucker kick the extra point.

Anyway on to the final 500 - I am pretty sure this is the first time I've made it this far. :excited:

-QG

I made it to the final 250 two years ago. Hopefully I can do it again this year. Regardless, I'm pretty happy to make it this far again with a relatively weak lineup in my opinion. I've had zero players lost for the season due to injury, and only a few minor injuries along the way. No idea how I got so lucky.

QB - Brady, Bradford, Cousins

Brady is used nearly every week, but Cousins has come through for me a couple times.

RB - Ivory, Anderson, Martin, Abdullah, Artis-Payne, West, Michael

Very shallow group, but I usually get at least two solid performances out of Ivory, Anderson, and Martin. Occasionally Abdullah will chip in on a bad week.

WR - Hilton, Landry, Cooks, Adams, Funchess, Wheaton, Royal, Lockett, Philly Brown

Again, a relatively shallow group but I usually get a couple good performances from Hilton, Landry, and Cooks...with at least one of the other guys chipping in for some help

TE - Olsen, Watson, Daniels

I expected this to be the Olsen show with Watson and Daniels maybe helping every so often. In fact, I've used two TE scores in nearly every week this year, occasionally even using all three. This has been a surprisingly efficient group for me.

PK - Gano, Sturgis, Hartley

Gano has been money. I screwed up and had Sturgis/Hartley as my second and third kickers, both of which weren't even on an opening day roster (I forgot to edit my kickers on the last day of sign-ups). I got lucky when Sturgis was picked up by Pittsburgh.

DST - Vikings, Browns, Giants

My strategy and Kicker and Defense every year is to just grab three random cheap options that sound the best on paper. I put little thought into it. The defenses have been solid for the most part, giving me a minimum of 10 points in all but two weeks.

QB - brady, t.taylor, carr, fitzpatrick

Considering I have a squad full of high ownership% at most every position, carr might be my only "x-factor", and as of week 12, he still was on 102 rosters.

RB - peterson, ingram, martin, abdullah, oliver

Would really like ingram to make an appearance this week, but im not optimistic going vs Carolina week13. Irks me greatly that sean peyton continues to under-utilize his workhorse back, and just when oliver finally looked like he was going to contribute weekly for SD, he ends up getting hurt. Overall cannot complain, considering the landscape of 2015 im just happy to have 4 healthy bodies.

WR - julio, cooks, lockett, adams, royal, amendola, philly brown

Having amendola back week13 would help immensely. I got little support from these guys week12, but still managed to survive. Im just hoping they saved their mojo for this week.

TE - gronk, eifert, reed, rodgers

My saving grace. Have used 2 TE scores every week, and used 3 TE scores on four occasions. As i will be gronk-less, eifert being a "go" would be huge.

PK - gano, janickowski, succop, scobee

Gano been a monster lately, used his scores the last 5 weeks. Scobee is the only player i have rostered who hasnt counted for me at least one week, so theres that.

DST - bears, titans, saints

Not good. Didnt invest heavily in d/st and it shows. This is a bad bunch, just hoping one of these degenerates can eek out a pick6 or return or something. anything.

good luck to the final 500.

I've never made the finals (actually I'm not even sure if I've made this particular week coming up - I think I crapped out in the round of 1000 twice a couple times before and that's it.

60th overall but 36th out of the entries still remaining. But the cut line will be so high again this week that there's no comfort at all in that.

QBs - Brady 244 (6) Dalton 25 (5) Flacco 20 (1)

Dalton would be fairly unique in the finals. I think there are 10 entries that have the Brady/Dalton combo. Dalton was just about the last guy I fit into my roster less on faith than on the fact that he was an inexpensive starter with job security with the possibility of big weeks. Never would have thought I'd end up using him 5 times.

RBs - Ingram 118 (10) Ivory 237 (8) Matt Jones 115 (5) CJ Anderson 123 (3) T West 31 (0)

I take back all the bad things I have said about CJ! That it's even conceivable that West could contribute is a pleasant surprise. The core of Ivory and Ingram has been clutch and if I've learned anything I think that it's guys who are involved in the passing game are the way to go in this contest.

Only the 2nd time all year I flexed this position.

WRs - Julio 305 (9) Megatron 87 (9) J Brown 149 (8) Adams 391 (3) C Brown 52 (2) Hawkins 3 (2) Harvin 7 (2) Royal 298 (1)

Really have leaned hard on the top 3 guys. 12 out of the possible 24 flex slots have gone to this position. Not loving that the back-end guys have done very little - really need Corey Brown and Hawkins to get back on the field - they could be difference-makes with a big game.

TEs - Eifert 268 (8.5) Olsen 153 (8.5) R Rodgers 148 (4) Chandler 52 (1)

Chandler showed up just in time! If Eifert can't go he could very well pick up the slack. Even before Gronk's injury they seemed to be using Chandler more (even if it was mostly on ill-fated wheel routes down the sideline). 10 out of the possible 24 flex slots went to this position.

PKs - Gano 96 (9) Janikowski 227 (3) Scobee 277 (0)

Go cheap or go home should be the mantra of this position. Gano has been an incredible stroke of luck for sure. Scobee has been an effective cheerleader obviously since he is on so many entries that are still alive.

TDs - Giants 18 (7) Tampa Bay 42 (4) Atlanta 40 (1)

This position put up a rare clunker this week - fortunately it didn't cost me. Fun fact the Giants are 4th in scoring in this contest - which is really ridiculous when you consider how bad this defense is in real life. The Bucs are 8th. I'm definitely in the 3 cheap defense camp now - the correlation between scoring and price at this position is very weak.

And now the cruelest cut of all awaits! Really hope I can dodge the Turk one final time! :scared: Good luck everyone!

No one cares, but I am 72nd in overall scoring and 43rd in scoring out of all the remaining teams. I am still concerned that I am due for a fall. Haven't really been that close to the cut line so far and have had 10+ points as a buffer each week at a minimum.

Nice work, I got knocked out last week, but my husband is still alive.
