Summerpalooza: Now at QB for the Buffalo Bills...Goo Goo Dolls (1 Viewer)

FAAB eliminates any advantage of drafting last
Good point. Snake draft is supposed to suffice for the bum roll, but at times snake draft can never compensate for first pick. FAAB is better suited for auction-style stuff.

But you know this, you do it for beisbol all the time.

Just spitballing.

SECOND TO LAST.xx -- ROCK ACTION -- NOTHING

Yahoo's default for baseball starts with reverse draft order and then cycles the order based on last move.  Is football handled differently?
Maybe I am wrong, I haven't played anything but FAAB on Yahoo in a long time but I thought the waivers this week were the reverse order of the standings. I assumed it was like this for default leagues but never looked.

Well in that case, I'm also 0-1.

But your points scored is better than a bunch of other 0-1 teams. That is usually the tiebreaker.
I got the only two guys I bid on.and still have $64 burning a hole in my wallet.   You can't take it with you and even if you could, good luck finding a place that accepts fantasy bucks.

I may rotate players in just to get an extra song.

Well played

I should've taken the $3 I paid for Dissly and added it to Dorsett's bid.  Could've gotten Dissly for free.

I'll add Naked Giants - Dead/Alien to the mix.

Football, whiskey and the summerpalooza playlist on shuffle:

Trouble Man by Marvin Gaye: this song really truly sounds great on headphones. It grabs you from the first splash of percussion, finds a groove fast and never lets go.

You Ain't Goin Nowhere by The Byrds: My favorite song off my favorite Byrds album.

Losing Out by Black Milk and Royce da 5'9: Did I draft this? Probably, I know I drafted Black Milk. I really thought Black Milk was going to blow up but he took an odd turn in his musical career away from anything remotely commercial. Listening in retrospect, you can hear the how heavily influenced this beat was by Kanye.

1-2-3 by Gloria Estefan: My MIL is a huge fan so last year for her birthday we saw the musical about Gloria's life. It was so bad. The fake Cuban accents were like caricatures. It was so cheesy that it was actually pretty fun.

Waitress by Hop Along: Love this song, great pick whoever got this one on the playlist. Has anyone here seen her live?

You totally drafted the bolded.  :lmao:

Yeah, you drafted a different song by the same artist that was ineligible for some reason and subsequently drafted this one.

I made a comment about Deadly Medley.
It's all coming back to me now. On to the Willie Hutch song again, I feel like it pops up every time I listen to this playlist. That is a very good thing.

I, ooh I choose you baby
I choose you baby
And I'll tell you why

Round Two

Honey and the Moon by Josepth Arthur: Is this the lo-fi sounds of The OC or what? Reminds me of younger days, hanging out with my gf (now wife). Very nice.

Rock Steady by Aretha Frankilin: Ok, I know I drafted this one. I drafted it for the Lions D and they were not rock steady. NEXT SONG.

Claws Off by Margot and the Nuclear So and So's: Annoying band name to type up but the song is real cool. I have no idea when or where this is from. Could be an Austin aughts release or a NoCal 90s band or some Brookyln 2019 debut. Love it.

Secrets by GGOOLLDD: Also kind of an annoying band name to type, but the song is my speed.

Library Magic by The Head and the Heart: A bit boring but sometimes the prettiest things are a bit boring.

These two were mine representing Purdue and Green Bay/Milwaukee respectively

I added Jonnu Smith - TE - Tennessee - Miami University

Camila Cabello - Havana

I'll get caught up on the spreadsheet etc... this weekend, I was in Montreal all week for work and headed to Toronto to see The Hold Steady tonight.

My pick is a lark. Chalk it up for NY when I come around.

Sorry 'bout that, Got too eager.

Play some football.   :football:

Falling Out by The Sammies?

Who are The Sammies? They make a catchy rock song.
Needed a pick for Greg Olsen (Didn't amount for much! :kicksrock: ) and was humiliated because I picked a song from his birthplace (only allowed for Artists I know now!) so I dug thru a long list of artists from Charlotte, and found them. Haven't listened to much more, but this song is pretty good.

Anyone know how to move a guy off on IR and onto their roster? Gordon apparently is not on IR, but Yahoo! is letting me roster him as such because he was declared out. But he might play this weekend regardless. Anyway, he's not an IR guy, Yahoo just has a glitch going on, I think. He just got traded to the Pats today, so he's big news, and I'm looking to cut Trent Taylor and add Gordon back to the bench from IR.

eta* I figured it out. Everything is cool here. Let's see how Gordon does with the Pats. Crazy trade.

Uh oh, you have to bid for him. You know that, right? Waivers run by a FAAB, which means you place a bid on them and, if there's a tie, waivers run in reverse order of record.
Gotcha. When I put in for him, it didn’t mention anything about that.

Ah, I see. Yeah, there's a box at the bottom of the screen with a number in it. It should read "0." If you want to adjust the bid, you bid out of your one hundred dollar budget that is supposed to be your yearly budget.

So, without snark, I hope that helps.  Waivers run midnight tonight, if you're interested or a night owl.

Much better to look at on the computer than the phone! Adjusted to add better (I hope!) claim amount.

Guess the good news is I have time to think about the song!

Tough loss for me last night. Russell Wilson did just enough to beat me in this league and not enough to get me the W in my main league where I have him. This is going to be a long fantasy season.

Nice feeling when a guy sandwiches in between what you need in your leagues.
