@rockaction I will likely have you pick for me tomorrow as I doubt we get though 15ish picks back to me tonight. Will shoot you a PM on my thoughts but honestly it’s all lotto tickets at this point so I’m not sweating it. Thanks

That's fine if you send a list of sixteen guys in rank order or something like that, but I also have to pick in a few, so if you're sending me generalized thoughts, please don't be upset if I select someone or someone out of the general schematics you've mentioned.

I think it would be a better idea if either you sent a list or we waited on you so that you might have the full team you wanted. I think the other way might set bad precedent as we move to the later rounds, as people may start asking me to select someone for them, which would be a conflict of interest. Free league, I know, but I really want to keep it on the up-and-up.

I also appreciate that you're doing this for the good of everyone. That's really thoughtful of you, and a nice gesture.

I’m good with whatever you want, absolutely zero pressure from my end just don’t want everyone waiting on me as I will not be able to pick until late night Cali time tomorrow. One thing I can assure you though is I will absolutely not be getting upset, not my style. Can’t ask for a favor then be upset with how that favor is done. I’m 100% in this for the fun and good times.

Thanks, dkp. I almost am 100% you wouldn't get upset, I just wanted to clarify. But we will wait, then, if you're picking late tmrw Cali time. I don't want to set precedent like that for the future. Who knows? If we get through a bunch of us tonight, a list might not be out of the question to make.

To the others: I think that going forward this is the best. I know people are probably flagging for the last portion of the draft, but if we get up to dkp tomorrow, we can probably finish Wed. or Thurs., which is way ahead of schedule thanks to how attentive you've all been throughout the process. Seriously, this is such a great group so far and I appreciate everyone's availability, coolness...everything.

Thank you! I appreicate it. I can just see a future where we mail it in for the last couple of rounds next time or something like that. It's really tempting to do so, and creates potential problems.

Thanks to everyone for sticking with this for the past week. You all are something else!

To illustrate the Keystone Kops nature of this:

When the commish sent out a text to the entire group to inform us that he could no longer make our draft date and it would have to change, this happened (using initials instead of full names):

R: I do not know any of you and was accidentally included, please remove me from the chain, much appreciated.

N: Sorry, I thought this was RW's cell.

R: Who is this?

N: N. Is this not R?

R: NM?

N: Yes.

R: OMG.

N: Is this R?

R: Sorry, my bad, it is.
 
I somehow wound up with the number of a guy with a burner phone who was in the middle of child support payments/non-payments. That was ugly. The chain messages I used to get about parties and his mother telling him he had child support due was insane. And nobody believed me that it wasn't him, so my phone would blow up every 9:00 A.M. It was awful. I requested a new number.

But wouldn't you know it -- the funny part? Turns out it was the brother of an acquaintance of mine whose mother I knew. We had an awkward moment or two about that.

Laugh to keep from crying? That was when I was running with a drug scene, so the mother barely believed me. Thought me and her son were pulling a fast one or something until I showed her the other messages I was getting. Still had to replace the number.

So, yeah, laugh. Those days were miserable ones and I'm glad to be over all that and on a new coast.
 
We're not ready, and in disagreement. I hereby cede the floor to the honorable @neal cassady to pick tomorrow. He's EDT so can pick on the earlier side. I'd say sorry but given long stretches without picks I'm not really stressing.

If you send me a list of seven or eight guys, I can pick for you tomorrow. We won't worry about the turn. Heck, you can even send me a list of five, and I doubt we'll have selected them all. At your leisure, of course.

It was down to Campbell or Westbrook-Ikhine for me but I figured Nick has less competition for targets in Tennessee.

I'm throwing the team name Parris St. Gerrmain back into the bin for next year.

My dog has diarrhea after boarding him on Saturday- so the last two nights I’ve had to take him out multiple times - during the second time last night at 3:00 am, I realized I didn’t have my phone or the front door to the building key.

So I was up at that time also - luckily at 5:00 am some woman left for work and I was able to to get back in and salvage another 2 hours of sleep.

I feel ya. Happened to me recently. Poor little thing was so miserable, I couldn't even feel upset. But it is really weird to be walking past your neighbors at 3.30 am in your pyjamas with a small dog on a leash.

My dog is in the vet ICU. She started vomiting out of the blue yesterday and then developed diarrhea. She got very lethargic in a matter of minutes. She was hypotensive and hypothermic upon arrival.

We thought she was a goner but is improved a bit this morning. Not out of the woods yet though. 😞
