Summerpalooza VII Music/Football Draft - In Palooza Vision with Last Gen Songs (2 Viewers)

Greetings from Asbury Park! Coach4 and I are in town to kick off the season against Reading 🌈.

1,2,..1,2,3,4

We are she
As you are he
Our team is we
And yours is whatevah-ah-ah-ah

You said get bent
With a Jersey accent
And an open fly
We're sighing

Sitting on the boardwalk
Headed to Bada Bing! Fields
Talked to some homies
They came out of Stone Pony
Man, they were bladdered boys
And half of your team

They are bozos
You are Reading Rainbow

We are the Pissahs
Goo goo g' joob

We’ll appoint you honorary Jersey Girls:
Coach4 has already been mistaken for one. I told her before leaving the hotel room she outta calm that big hair down, and sure enough some tourist thought she was a local and asked her for directions. She blends right in.

Does she have a bod for sin?

Big thanks to Coach Simey for taking charge of all the fun and composing all the lyrics to this week's theme song. I've been hit hard at work, and it freaking sucks, especially when I still need to get the new place together. Anyway, best co-manager (or really the primary manager) evah.

A Tribe Called Quest - Can I Kick It? (no known connection other than the “kick” reference)

Added

Wan'Dale Robinson - WR - New York Giants

WDR Big Band - "Ornithology"

The economics of operating a big band have been bad since WWII. The government subsidized WDR Big Band from Germany is one of the few ensembles remaining that perform and record on a regular basis. This is a pleasant but pretty basic arrangement of Charlie Parker's bebop classic.

Sunday Funday! :football:
Not for the panthers or their fans
I'm a Panthers fan, and that game was a bummer, although I didn't expect a win. I wish they had kept all of the starters (other than Young) out there longer. I feel bad for Young. I hope brighter days are ahead for the young man.
Somehow, Bryce still outscored Trevor Lawrence today
That's probably due to his TD he ran in for. I thought the commentators, especially one of them, was unprofessional with some of his comments about Bryce. Even from the start of the game he was saying unkind things. Anyway, Joe Burrow and his Bengals didn't look much better than the Panthers today.

Hey guys!

Wow, can two people ever hear the same thing and think totally different things. I know you have Carolina blue coursing through your veins and arteries, but damn I thought Mark Schlereth and Chris Myers were apologizing for the guy. His first pick was awful, and it was downhill for his team from there.

Oh well. Just figured I’d come in and play contrarian. We get the Jets to poop their pants tomorrow night, and I’ll be available for thrashings afterwards.

I'm with Rock here. Mr R figures that Bryce really only looked good because he was covered by Alabama. That will prop up almost anyone.

Just because I'm a Panthers fan doesn't mean I don't know the difference between constructive criticism and being harsh. We can just disagree about what was said. I'm also aware of your feelings towards Young. As I said in another post above, I hope better days are ahead for the young man.

Same here. I get no joy (nor does it prove me a scouting rock star) when I see him overmatched or not performing well. I’ve never been a huge Carolina fan, but I certainly don’t mind them. I like the region. My old girlfriend wanted to go to UNC but couldn’t because she was from TN and they didn’t let that many kids in from the South in a pretty competitive environment. We were all surprised by that because she wound up at what was thought to be (I stress the “thought to be") a better school. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But I wildly digress. I think sometimes the boo birds might come out for Young because of your owner, who is an utter schlemp. The rumors about Reich wanting Stroud don’t help in the least, nor does going into random sports bars to knock the hat off of bartenders who have an unflattering sign about him posted by the roadside. It’s just a bad look. But we’ve talked about it before.

Woody and Chris Johnson are hardly two princes, and that’s no spin doctoring.

Let's not forget about Tepper having a temper tantrum at a Jaguars game last year, and throwing his drink on a Jag fan. He's awful.

One of my nephews goes to UNC. It isn't easy for out-of-state first year undergrads to get in there. They only enroll 18%. 82% have to be from NC. It's called the 82/18 rule.

Yep. That's what she said. Difficult to get in. She had really high SATs and grades, and this wasn't the ultra-competition grade inflation song and dance they make the kids do today. It was a pretty solid resume. Nope. Didn't get in. Otherwise she was UNC bound.

Tepper throwing the drink on the fan as an isolated incident is pretty awful but it would be forgivable if he didn't do everything else along with it. You know what was weird? When he first took over the team, they had him in the booth for an exhibition game and you could tell the play-by-play and detail guy were scared utterly ****less and there was just a tension in the booth. And this was right after he purchased the team. First year. I knew something was wrong with the dude in the booth in like three minutes just because of the reaction the announcers were giving him. And it wasn't like they were rude. They were scared for their nice jobs. It was painful.

Anyway, enough of that. I don't want to see a young man do poorly, but I can't believe they took him over Stroud because his wife liked the kid better. I don't know. Meddling to that degree, firing everybody all the time, waffle stomping the joint . . . it never works and leaves the product subject to scorn.

Like I'm constantly at pains to admit (and Doc Oc, too, would say this—and what is up, Doctor Octopus??!!! More exclamations than Spinal Tap had for Cleveland!!!) the Jets get buried about everything they do even when they don't deserve or it's uncool to pile on because they set themselves up for it from the top down.

It also leads to Mayflower trucks in the middle of the night.
