Week 3 News/Notes/Inactives

Sunday Late Games

Leonard Little (DE-STL) is INACTIVE after being listed questionable with a hamstring injury. He was limited Friday in his only practice of the week. Linehan called him a GTD, but he’s probably less than 50-50.

Jordon Dizon (LB-DET) was is INACTIVE after being added to the injury report mid week with a neck injury. He’s questionable after being limited on Thurs-Fri.

Cory Redding (DT-DET) is ACTIVE after being listed as questionable with an ankle injury. He was limited in practice on Friday after missing practice earlier in the week. He says he’s playing.

Leigh Bodden (CB-DET) will start despite being rumored to have been demoted to the second team again in favor of Travis Fisher.

Justin Durant (LB-JAC) is OUT with a groin injury this week.

Bob Sanders (S-IND) is OUT with an ankle injury this week.

Scott Fujita (LB-NO) is again OUT this week with a knee injury.

Tye Hill (CB-STL) has been demoted to nickel back this week. Ron Bartell and Fakhir Brown will start.

Kelly Gregg (DT-BAL) remains OUT with a knee injury.

DeShea Townsend (CB-PIT) is OUT again with a heel injury.

Sunday Night

Anthony Spencer and Roy Williams are OUT for Dallas this week. Atari Bigby is OUT for Green Bay.

Monday Night

No significant defensive injuries reported.

Sunday Early Games

**There are many defenders listed probable this week. We’ll give them a little extra attention if they end up on the inactive list in the morning. Feel free to add a post requesting additional information on anyone.

All of the Carolina major defenders are ACTIVE today, including Chris Harris. A number of the Carolina defenders are listed questionable. Richard Marshall, Na’il Diggs, Tyler Brayton and Chris Gamble were limited all week long. Chris Harris was added to the report as questionable after missing Friday’s practice with “thigh tightness”.

Tamba Hali (DE-KC) is ACTIVE after being added to the injury report on Friday as questionable with a knee injury. He was limited in practice on Friday and was considered a GTD.

Turk McBride (DE-KC) is ACTIVE after being listed questionable with an abdominal injury. He practiced fully on Friday after being limited on Thursday. Full practice is a good sign for a spleen injury.

Patrick Surtain (CB-KC) is INACTIVE this week with a shoulder injury. He will be replaced by Brandon Carr.

Michael Boley (LB-ATL) is ACTIVE after being listed questionable with a neck injury and was limited in practice all week. He described it as stiff but improving mid week.

Travis Laboy (LB-ARI) is ACTIVE after being listed questionable after being limited in practice most of the week, including Friday, with an ankle injury.

Dexter Jackson (S-CIN) is INACTIVE again this week with a thumb injury. Chinedum Ndukwe is listed as probable, practiced fully on Friday and should start.

Johnathan Joseph (CB-CIN) is INACTIVE after being listed doubtful with an ankle injury. He did not practice all week and looks unlikely to play.

Marcus Washington (LB-WAS) is ACTIVE after being listed questionable with a knee injury. He practiced fully Thursday and Friday and looks likely to play, though he may begin losing more snaps to H.B. Blades.

Travis Johnson (DT-HOU) is OUT with a knee injury this week.

Gaines Adams (DE-TB) is ACTIVE after being listed questionable with an abdominal injury. He practiced fully on Friday after being limited earlier in the week.

Derrick Brooks (LB-TB) is ACTIVE after being listed questionable with a hamstring injury. He was limited Thursday and Friday, but played last week with a similar week of practice.

Aqib Talib (CB-TB) is OUT after being listed questionable with a hamstring injury. He was limited all week in practice.

With Fujita being out, does Jo Lonn Dunbar take his place? If so, what is the forecast for him?

I saw that posted by a SF writer. But there has been no mention of it here by any of the local beat writers. I don't think it has any validity, but check here before the 4pm games for any news.

I want to add, if you see something regarding inactives posted by buffalobills.com, you best verify it, because they have said that Leroy Hill in week 1 and Mike Peterson in week 2 were inactive and both played.

And this Forum questioned them both immediately both times. ;)

Similar to last week, I'd guess. He'll play in the base defense only and may or may not draw much one-on-one cover duty against Cooley. His pursuit tackling might be cut down by the return of Roman Harper. I'd put him in the 3-5 solo range without much big play upside.

That looks like the run of the early game question marks. No major surprises, other than most of the questionable folks are on the active rosters. We'll be looking for any last minute breaking news, then be back this afternoon for anything juicy.

Good luck this weekend.

Thanks for the hard work Jene!

any news on Ndukwe? Will he be playing today?
No known setbacks from last week, when he got nearly all the snaps, and increased his participation in practice through Friday, when he went through a full practice and was listed probable. Jackson remains out, so Ndukwe should (assuming no in-game issues) play the majority of the snaps again this week.

Is Chris Gamble going to play?Goggs
Local writers expected him to go yesterday and the fact that he's active is obviously a positive sign. There's been no update on pre-game warmups for Gamble from the writers this AM though and Marshall is active, too.Looks good for a start, but it's not a slam dunk.
