Sunday Trivia (1 Viewer)

robert smith
Correct. He was the 4th of the original ones.Hearst I missed because of a silly error. White I missed because he missed a full season early in his career. Another RB did that, and has yet to be named (he's the one that ranked in the top 10 in one of his first five seasons playing, but not in the top ten in any of the first five years after he was drafted). Another RB I missed earlier because he ranked 10th and not 1st-9th later in his career. So we've still got two more to go.Hearst, White, Barber, Garner, Jones, Smith, _____, _____

Bo's highest rank was 21st.It's easy to forget this because of The Trade, but Walker is one of three RBs to rank in the top 5 each of his first three seasons in the league. Barry Sanders and Earl Campbell are the other two.

Name the only four RBs since the merger to not rank in the top 10 fantasy RBs in any of their first five seasons, but would rank in the top 10 in at least one season in their career.
Not having looked at the answers... sorry Chase if you have responded to some already...I have a hard time figuring who I need to cut from:Tiki Barber;James Brooks;Earnest Byner;Charles Garner;Garrison Hearst;Thomas Jones;Duce Staley

Barber, Garner, Hearst and Jones are correct. Staley, Brooks and Byner are not. Since the OP, four more RBs were discovered. Charles White, Kevin Mack and Robert Smith are three others. We're looking for one more, now.

Thanks for the quick response Chase.Didn't Brooks finish 9th in '89? and not in the top10 from '81-'85? - just asking (must be '85 with those 12TDs)

Yes. I've stated that the player in question missed full seasons early in his career. He did not rank in the top 10 in any of the first five seasons after he was drafted, but he did finish in the top 10 in the fourth season when he actually was on the field.

Yes, Brooks ranked 8th in 1985.

Greg Bell?
Ranked 4th his fifth season.

1987 is listed twice because he played for two teams. 1988 is his fifth season.

Charles White, Derek Loville, Tiki Barber, Garrison Hearst, Charlie Garner, Thomas Jones, Robert Smith and Kevin Mack are, as far as I can tell, the only 8 rushers that have entered the league since the merger, did not rank in the top 10 in any of the first five seasons after they were drafted, but would rank in the top 10 at some point later in their career.
