Super Bowl Picks Who You Got? (1 Viewer)

Time to make predictions people.  We basically have 3 weeks of preseason to get a grasp on this, so it is time.

Oakland has really impressed me this pre-season so maybe just maybe, Gruden is the answer and what a story this would be

My NFC team is the Saints.  That defense has gotten even better, they have every possible piece you need.

Raiders vs. Saints

Champion being the RAIDERS (mostly for the story)

Pats, Bills (wc), Ravens, Steelers (wc), Texans, Chargers

Giants, Eagles (wc), Vikings, Panthers, Saints (wc), Rams

Bills lose to Chargers, Steelers beat Texans, Ravens beat Bills, Pats beat Steelers, Pats beat Ravens

Eagles beat Giants, Saints beat Rams, Eagles beat Vikings, Saints beat Panthers, Saints beat Eagles

New England 38 New Orleans 35 Belichick, Brady, Gronk, Brees retire.  Belichick pees on Goodell's shoes.

Maybe I'm too big of a believer in regression to the mean, and avoiding 1 year wonders(both positively and negatively) but I don't see the Rams as a playoff team. Conversely, I love the Packers this year.

I'll go Green Bay over New England, with Carolina and Houston as the runner ups.

Chargers over Ravens in AFC Championship game.

Saints over Rams in NFC Championship game.

Saints over Chargers in Super Bowl.

I refuse to type my team name and jinx them, so I will just refer to my avatar.  Of course we chose to keep the younger guy and ship Brees off to the Saints in 2006 (a mistake in my eyes), so it would be nice to beat them.

Also:

it wasn't a mistake. The success Brees had doesn't change the facts at the time (Rivers' contract, Brees' shoulder injury). And a lot of his success in NO is directly attributable to having Payton as his head coach instead of Norv, McCoy, and Lynn.

There’s always a surprise team. The giants could be it this year. But I’ll take the Vikings over the patriots. Hate taking the pats but the afc is weak.

I'm revising mine to be the Chargers vs Saints.  Mostly because of the Mack trade.  Since there is no kickoff yet, I'm allowed.
