Pretty much all football fans and drinkers want this due to it being a much better day for a party with a day off after and all.

But the NFL knows that footballguy is going to watching the superbowl no matter when they show it.

What they care about is the 40-50% of people that were on the fence about watching it... those tens of millions of people that they need to be on their butts watching the game.

The NFL knows that Sunday night has the least number of conflicts on a social level and that people are more likely to watch TV on Sunday night.

Getting the tens of millions of random people to watch those stupid commercials is the main reason for all the hype around the game anymore... not the play or the game or any of that.

Football fans are outnumbered by non-football fan fickle TV viewers... and those people will watch on Sunday, but will probably do something else with their lives Sat. night.... so despite the fact that Sat would be better for anyone hosting or going to any type of superbowl party, it will never happen... and that suxx
