Super Bowl Predictions (1 Viewer)

The Patriots. They're the '07 Pats plus Fred Taylor and Joey Galloway.

I'll pick the Eagles as the team they will beat, but the NFC is pretty wide open.

ne over phil

pit (14-2) and ne(14-2) will be the 2 best teams , and the afc title game will be the championship as winner defeats either nfc team

giants and eagles best nfc teams

What the hell...

New England over Atlanta

NFC is wide open, and even though their schedule is tougher this year, Atlanta has almost as good a chance as anyone.

Steelers over Eagles. The Eagles seem to have a lot of talent - the Steelers are defending champs and are getting NO love at all from the national media - this and an easier schedule will be enough to scrape by the AFC.

NFC:

Vikings 35 vs Giants 22

AFC:

Pats 37 vs Chargers 35

Bowl:

Vikings 28 vs Pats 24

San Diego over Giants.

I think the Chargers will be the class of the AFC West for sure, and a healthy Merriman will bring the defense back to one of the league's elite units. I think LT has another year left and he'd love to be able to get to the big game.

The Giants won't have a ton of competition in a pretty weak NFC -- Philly, the Bears, Carolina, maybe Minnesota -- and with Umenyiora back the defense will rule the day. A receiver will emerge by midseason -- my guess is Steve Smith -- and the offense will be better than it was last year when Plax went out.

Chargers win in a fairly low scoring affair -- something like 24-20.

Repeat of last years Superbowl, Arizona Cardinals vs.Pittsburgh Steelers

Cardinals have a week 4 BYE which hurts, IMO, but their last 5 opponets are WK13-Minnesota, [email protected]., WK15-@DET, WK16-RAMS, WK17-Green Bay, 2 away games, 3 home games. Last two at home and they can rest a few players because they clinched the division. They'll rest up during their bye week and then roll on to the NFC title.

Steelers have an 8 week BYE, which helps them to rest and regroup for the stretch run. Their last 5 opponets are WK13-OAK, WK14-@CLEV, WK15-Green Bay, WK16-BALT, WK17- @MIA. 2 away games and 3 home games. They could quite possibly run the table of their last 5 opponets. I only see Baltimore as a possible misstep. I think their week 8 bye is gonna help get them and keep them healthy for the final 9 games. They too should be able to rest a few players towards the last couple of weeks.

So, my prediction is the two teams that played last year in the Superbowl will play again this year in the Superbowl. I know, I know, that's going against the grain, but simply that's my prediction. I have as much chance of being right as anyone else. As much as the Steelers want to repeat as champs and as hungry as they'll be to do so, I think they're gonna fall a tad short this time even if the Cardinals are a little wore out from having an early bye week. The Cardinals pump themselves up with adrenalin for 60 minutes and have last years loss deeply etched in their minds and when time expires they're gonna find themselves with a superbowl title to their credit. Then the cameras focus on Kurt Warner and they ask him what are you gonna do now that you've won the superbowl and Kurt gleefully quips, " I'm going to Vatican City"

FINAL SCORE- Arizona Cardinals 31 - Pittsburgh Steelers 30

Patriots 30 Eagles 24

If Brady has truly put this injury behind him and stays healthy, I don't see any reason why they will not put up monster numbers. The defense will be improved over the last couple seasons.

I like what the Eagles have done in the offseason and in the draft. Reid will find a way to get Vick involved, and I think that gives them the slight edge over the Giants in a physical NFC championship game.

My :headbang:
