superbowl commercials (1 Viewer)

Did anyone remember seeing it and if it was any good or not? I can't remember that one for some reason and I was wondering if it was good or not.

Pretty sure it was the one that showed various depressed fans of teams that were eliminated. The tag line was something like "it is hard to give it up". Then it showed Favre and said something like "for some, it is a bit harder to give it up". OK but nothing memorable.

Oh that was it? Makes sense as the Favre thing was a little on the edge for a "real sponsor." My crowd laughed.

It was meh. Favre thing at the end was obviously a rush job to integrate. That seemed cheesy.

Seemed to make no sense as the NFL Network's biggest push right now should be how to attract viewers between now and preseason. Yet they run an ad that gives the message they're closing up shop for 6 months.

i didn't think the viewer ad was supposed to have anything to do with or mention nfl network. :hangover:

IMO....very disapointed.

I really wanted the "I wonder what O-lineman" think on the night before the SuperBowl idea to win. It was a hilarous concept.

Of the 10 finalists in that contest, there were 3 or 4 that would have been better than the winner.

Ho hum and kinda boring. The Favre thing at the end didn't make sense to me, since he is coming back. Were they trying to say he should just hang it up?

I agree that the commercial was meh but the message was that even though most people traditionally think their teams "season" is over, the die-hard fan doesn't know really know when it is over and will continue to follow the team because they don't know when to hang it up and take a break (using Favre as an example). They could have made the message more clear and made an attempt at a larger crowd, but other than the die-hards, how many casual football fans really want to watch the combines for some relatively unknown college kids running 40s and bench pressing 225lbs.

That one was my favorite too. And what happened to the one about the little deaf boy? That was leading the voting up until the final weekend.

At least it didn't suck a medicine ball through a garden hose like those Sierra Mist ads.

I thought the ad was good. I liked the horse with the Dallas star getting hosed off as well as the body-painted fans getting hosed down. Funny bits. I laughed at the Favre ending.
