SuperJohn96's Annual NFL Schedule Grid - 2009 Edition (1 Viewer)

SJ - Check Baltimore, they have a few too many road games (I count 15!)Thanks :hifive:
Actually there is a mistake there, but the games where it's CLE@ are still home games. It's from me copying CLE @ BAL, and not removing the @ from the home games. It's fixed with the updated links in Post #1.Thanks!

Nobody else found any other mistakes? I must finally be getting the hang of this...LOL

How about any suggestions to improve on it?

Both my 2008 and 2009 versions have:

- Full Page - Color and Black & White

- Wallet - Color and Black & White

- FBG style

- FF Team Template

I've tossed around the idea (put to me last year) of putting the team logo or helmets on there, but it'd be a lot more work, and I'd probably have to lose the color coding for game days & times and put it so that white is a home game and the colored cells would be road games.

suggestion, not directly related to the SJ96grid, but getting the schedule on public google calender (you now need the specific URL) or an iCal file / link to upload on to Outlook, or GCal, or other calenders would be awesome...

Stick with what you've got.................I don't need to see any team logos or helmets! The product is already pretty darn good! I use it with my own FF team templates every year and logos & helmets will just clog it up and make it less useful/functional for my tastes. Just my thoughts.

Thanks once again SuperJohn96!!!

I always look forward to your spreadsheet, and this years turnaround time is an especially nice touch! Again, your hard work is very much appreciated!!

ETA: This post should be pinned (yes, even though it is linked in the other pinned thread.) - it's the most concise schedule available here at FBG.
Awesome document. Love this..... :pickle:

I gotta admit, I started doing this, and doing it right * requires WAY too much work. Sorry.* Doing it right means entering each of the 256 games, and times, and Stadiums. I mean, if one was going to do it, there's no need to do it half assed IMO.

Also, I already upgraded the wallet pages. They'll actually print out in credit card size (I actually played with this), so you can fold them and laminate them, and they are gold. But I'll have to update that from home tonight. Keep your eyes peeled.

Jets upset about home games on Jewish holidays

By DENNIS WASZAK Jr., AP Sports Writer 14 hours, 39 minutes ago

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP)—The New York Jets, upset about being scheduled for home games on consecutive Sundays in direct conflict with Jewish holidays, sent NFL commissioner Roger Goodell a letter Thursday asking that one of the game times be changed.

The Jets’ home opener is Week 2 against New England at 1 p.m. on Sept. 20, which falls during Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. New York then plays Tennessee at 4:15 p.m. the following Sunday, with Yom Kippur, the Jewish day of atonement, beginning at sundown.

In the letter to Goodell, owner Woody Johnson suggested the game against the Titans be changed to a 1 p.m. start to give Jewish fans time to arrive home before sundown.

“I am extremely disappointed with the league’s decision to schedule us to play at home on consecutive Sundays that are in direct conflict with the Jewish High Holy Days,” Johnson wrote. “There has long been an understanding that neither the Jets nor the Giants fans should have to bear completely the brunt of this issue since we are in the largest Jewish market in the country.”

Jets officials called the league offices first on Wednesday to express their concern, and Johnson followed with a formal letter Thursday.

“We were not contacted prior to this decision,” Johnson said. “We are flexible and would have been more than happy to work with the league to accommodate as many of our fans as possible.”

Brian McCarthy, the NFL’s vice president of corporate communications, said the league received the letter and was reviewing it.

The Giants are on the road for both weeks, with games at Dallas at 8:20 p.m. in Week 2, and at Tampa, Fla., at 1 p.m. in Week 3.

YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!?!?!
Cards’ schedule violates Fiesta contract

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP)—The Arizona Cardinals violated terms of their University of Phoenix contract by scheduling their final home game in the upcoming season one day before the Fiesta Bowl.

The Cardinals’ and Fiesta Bowl’s contracts with the operator of the Glendale stadium require 48 hours between the games. But in the schedule released last week, Arizona’s final game is Jan. 3 at home against Green Bay. That’s one day before the Jan. 4 Fiesta Bowl.

The Fiesta Bowl has sought written assurance that the problem won’t be repeated. Now the two sides are in discussions about what to do regarding this season’s conflict.

“We want to carefully approach the thing because, first and foremost, we want to protect the interests of the Fiesta Bowl,” Fiesta Bowl president and CEO John Junker said from Pasadena, Calif., where he is attending BCS meetings.

The problem occurred when the Cardinals failed to notify the NFL of the conflict that would occur if Arizona played its final game at home.

Cardinals spokesman Mark Dalton said Tuesday that meetings are planned with representatives of the Fiesta Bowl, Arizona Tourism and Sports Authority and the stadium’s contracted operator Global Spectrum to see what can be done.

Options could include moving the Cardinals’ game to Saturday or playing the NFL game Sunday with the Fiesta Bowl banners and other special bowl setups in place.
