While I was setting up my spreadsheet for week 5, I got curious. Here's some observations (Results summary in post #2):
WSL 3 had one of the most interesting drafts. At first glance, it looks like they suck, as only 2 teams have topped 500 total points, and Oldfatguy, at 649, has the best score of all the leagues.
But their average score is actually the 3rd best out of the 14 leagues, and their standard deviation is the lowest of all 14, even with OFG's high score. So this was a VERY even draft.
Hardest luck - Tex (503) is the only team scoring over 500 pts to be booted, and the only one to be booted while scoring in the top 4 of their league. There are 4 leagues (not including MBSL2) that have had no unlucky boots, as the four teams booted are the 4 lowest teams (PDSL 1,2,3 and WSL 4)
Boots by Draft position is pretty spread out
The 10 spot was the kinda the death spot, as half of those teams are done, but it does have 2 teams leading their leagues scoring as well. Surprisingly, the #2 spot was second worst, tied with the 15 spot with 6 done.
The top spots to draft from so far is the #1 spot (no surprise) and the #11 (Surprise), both with only 1 out.
1.01 1 21.02 6 01.03 3 11.04 3 01.05 2 11.06 3 01.07 3 21.08 4 01.09 2 31.10 7 21.11 1 11.12 3 01.13 3 01.14 5 01.15 6 11.16 3 1But, with the different drafting periods, maybe the actual 1st rounder might be a little more interesting, and it is, IMO.Brady's being out should be an anchor on his team, and he is. 8/13 teams that drafted him are out. Brady can probably be blamed on the 5/12 Randy Moss's that are out as well., which is tied for the 2nd most.
Who he's tied with is something of a surprise though: Adrian Peterson. 5/14 teams that selected him are out.
Percentage wise, it's Ronnie Brown (100% but only 1 team selected him in the 1st), Brady(62%), then McGahee(44%)
So who was the best pick? Amazingly it's Larry Johnson. No team has been booted that drafted LJ, and 4 are the top scoring team. Wow.
LT and Lynch have lost only 1 team as the next best.
