Im not sure if this is the proper forum, but it is football related, so im guessing its fine.

Anyway, i am doing my first survivor "league"(is that what theyre called?) and i am one of 49 people left out of 261. I was wondering what kind of strategy people use for these?

I wasnt taking it very seriously up to this point, but with a bunch of peope getting knocked out last week, it looks like i might have a shot at the big money.

Do you usually look at the future weeks to determine who to take for the current week? For example, im sure everyone will be on the Steelers this week, and while im confident they will win, they have alot of juicy matchups down the road. Chicago on the other hand has a pretty good matchup this week at home against the Hawks, and i dont see another good game for the after this week.

Do you play it safe, or try to get sneaky?

I am taking the Steelers. I like the use more strategies after week 10 on what teams to pick. I almost always take home teams as well. Anything can happen in any game in the NFL it is better to play it as safe as possible until later in the season when you can see more trends.

We are down to only 10 remaining(from 50) in ours, so I am not getting cute the next three weeks in hopes to end it early.Pitt this weekBaltimore(buffalo) next week Bears (Buffalo "toronto") the following week most likelyPittsburgh is not smart for me to save since their next 3 games are on the road, and everywhere I have read advises to stay away from road teams as much as possible. Trying to follow the browns, bills and panthers for the next few weeks if possible based solely on QB situation and defense.Then looking for a group of 2nd half teams to get hot (tennesse, dallas, SD, Jets)There was another post somewhere around here where a fellow FBG posted some pretty good matchups up until week 12, iirc

Im looking at Chicago this week then:7. Saints vs Browns8. Cowboys vs. Jaguars9. Vikings vs. Cardinals10. Jets vs. Browns11. Steelers vs. Raiders12. Giants vs. Jaguars13. Dolphins vs. BrownsHow long do these usually last? With 49 remaining, im hoping it doesnt go past week 13, because there isnt a game i feel good about.
