INTRO
I am running a Survivor pool (pool), named LAST MAN STANDING ELIMINATION, and it runs like this. You will enter your picks on the website every week and the website will handle all the picks, deadlines and standings, and you will be able to see what everyone picked while the games are in progress.
JOINING THE POOL
To join the pool, you need to be registered on the website with your own username and password and email address. You will also need the poolid number and pool password or the specially coded link, which is provided by the pool manager. DROP ME A NOTE AND I WILL GET THIS TO YOU.
ALIASES
People without internet access can have another pool member enter their picks by using an Alias. Aliases can also be used to make multiple entries into the pool. Check the website FAQ page to find out more about Aliases.
OBJECT OF THE GAME
This pool is a Survivor pool. In Survivor pools, the object of the game is to pick a single winning team each week. If the team you pick wins, you advance to the next week. If the team you pick loses, you are out of the pool after 2 losses.
ENTERING PICKS
Each person will be responsible for entering their own picks on the website. To enter picks, you need to sign into the website with your own personal screen name and password and go to My Picks for the picksheet.
CONFIRMING PICKS
It is the responsibility of all players to confirm that their picks are accepted by the website. There are many ways to do this. One, is to get a pick confirmation email. When entering picks, check the box to receive a pick confirmation and the website will send it to your registered email address. The second way to confirm that your pick was accepted is to return to the picksheet, not by using your browser's back button, but by clicking on the PICKS link. If your pick was accepted it will be prefilled on the picksheet. A third way to confirm your pick is to check the standings page. If your pick is in, it will show up on the standings or poolwide picks page.
WEATHER POSTPONED GAMES
If a game is postponed to a later week due to hurricanes or other foreseeable weather conditions, all the picks for that game will be deleted by the website. The website will send an email notification to the people who picked that game and their pool managers. Whether they get the email or not, it is the responsibility of the individual pool member to know that the game was postponed and to enter a new pick before the pick deadline passes.
* Entry fee is $15.
- Due by Opening Weekend: Sunday, September 7th.
- Unless you've made special arrangements with me, payment MUST be received prior to playing.
- Players can enter more than one entry.
* Pick one NFL game each week. Straight up, no point spreads.
* You win, you advance to the next week.
* Two losses and you are gone.
* You may not pick a team more than once during the regular season.
* With the start of the NFL playoffs, the history of your previously selected teams is cleared. You may not pick a team more than once during the playoffs.
* If a player has no team available, they will take a loss for that week.
* Last one standing takes the pot.
* NFL tied games count as losses.
* If you fail to pick an eligible team or you fail to get your pick in by the deadline, it counts as a loss.
* A pool administrative fee of $1.50 per team will be taken out of the prize fund. Administrative fees include web hosting fee and PayPal fees.
* Tiebreakers:
1. Fewest Losses
2. Most Consecutive Wins
We have 13 entries so far - I want this to grow as big as possible - think about 50 entries - that would give someone $675 while 100 would give $1350 and so on.
