T.Gurley + J.Gordon for L.Bell - WHIR (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I'm currently in a 16 team 0.5 PPR league, and I'm unfortunately off to a bad start at 1-2.

Should I trade my:

  • Todd Gurley
  • Josh Gordon
To receive:

  • Le'Veon Bell

Here is my team:

16 Team 0.5 PPR league (1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2Flex, K, Def, 5Bench):

QB - Matthew Stafford

RB - Todd Gurley, Arian Foster, Charles Sims, Jordan Howard, Dwayne Washington

WR - TY Hilton, Michael Floyd, Josh Gordon, Tyrell Williams, Devante Parker

TE - Jordan Reed

Thank you, post a link and I will give my thoughts on your question as well.

I think I might do that, it's too much if Josh Gordon comes out and plays the way he is capable of, but there is no assurance of that, Bell is great, and is going to get a heavy workload right away both in carries and receptions which is a big boost in ppr. However, it wouldn't hurt you to wait another week and see how Bell comes out, you're paying top price for him already with this trade so even if he goes off this week that is the value you were trading at anyway, if he is mediocre this first week you might be able to get him for Gurley and someone with less potential than Gordon.

I am also in a large league (18 teams, 0.5 ppr) so I get where you are coming from.  I am pretty down on Gurley this year.  I just don't see teams respecting the Rams passing game any time soon.  He's going to be facing 8-9 in the box all season, especially if Goff becomes the starter (that kid is a dear in the headlights).  Josh Gordon is the old pig in a poke.  You know he is a beast but will Kessler get him in position to score like a WR1 regularly?

I would not say no to the offer but  I would look at the other guy's bench and see what else you can get with Bell, like a low end WR2 or something like that.  If the Bell owner also has DeAngelo, he is a must in the trade.  I mean, the guy is likely going to have to cut someone anyway to make room for the 2-for-1 trade, right?  Might as well make it an even 2-for-2 deal.  If he balks I still think Bell would be an upgrade to your starting lineup and while you miss out on Gordon, you won't miss Gurley.

FYI, the Gurley owner in my league just offered me Gurley + Eifert for Lamar Miller + Dwayne Washington and I turned it down (kills my depth and doesn't really seem like an upgrade).

Good luck!
