T.O. vs. Ocho Cinco (1 Viewer)

I looked at my projections from the projections dominator, set for a .5 pt per reception league. Ocho Cinco is ranked at WR #11 and T.O. at #19. I know you are supposed to be cautious with preseason games, but T.O. so far has looked like the wr #1, and still looks to be in good shape and is playing well. I am wondering if T.O. actually will be the wr #1 in Cincy and will outperform Ocho? T.O. would be a bargain at his current ADP 78 in PPR, vs. Ocho Cinco ADP 40 in PPR.

In their primes, T.O. was a slightly better receiver than 85. But now Owens is 37 and 85 is 32. I'd be floored if Owens outperformed Ocho Cinco this year.

I could see TO with more TDs, but 85 with more receptions/yards at the end of the year. That said, I love TO's value at ADP.

Palmer is targeting TO more in preseason to get their timing down. He's had years with Chad, so it doesn't take much with him. I expect to see Chad with much better numbers at the end of the year (non-PPR) or slightly better in PPR. Of course that all assumes that Palmer is healthy and can still get the ball deep to Chad.

FWIW, in a $750 cap league, Chad went for $76, and TO for $69. Seems like people have really ramped up TO's value, and Chad's has taken a hit.

I do believe that Chad will be the better WR at the end of the year due to more receptions. About equal TDs, but 10 to 20 more receptions for Chad. About the same YPC: 14.5 to 15.0

I will and have taken Chad as my 2-3 a couple of times this year. Not sure what to predict from TO but hopefully chad is back to his 1200-1400 yard days. TO has been targetted by Palmer a bit this off-season but I believe it is for timing more than anything. TO is their 1st legit WR since Housh left (Coles was old) so that should help free Chad up across the middle and hopefully deep.

TO = more receptions

Ocho = more yards

I'd much rather have TO at the current ADP

I think they'll both end up in the WR12-24 range

I think they end up very similar so if their ADPs stay where they are, I'll end up with TO over Chad.

I'm very much agreed with this. I also think TO will have 2-3 more TD's than Chad. 85 has never been the redzone stud that Owens has been in his career.

Definitely 1a/1b scenario. TO is the better value. Chad has never been much of a red zone threat, and that's where TO makes his money. I'm assuming that Chad is faster at top speed these days, so he should see some nice long receptions, but TO has always been known to turn a crossing route into a 50 yard rumble. I don't see that changing

Chad - 1200/7 - 162 fpts

Owens - 1000/10 - 160 fpts

Those stats seem quite realistic.At this stage, I don't care which one supersedes the other. I just want to see Palmer air it out like he did ages ago.The passing game seems like it has been suffocating the last 2 years. Let's see some 70 yard TD bombs like a breath of fresh air....
