T.O. will go off tonight (1 Viewer)

OK I admit I am an Owens owner, and I have argued for the past several weeks that he should be considered the top fantasy wr this year. Even though Moss started out much hotter than Owens, T.O. will have a more comsistent year, in part because of where he plays. (Not having to deal with cold weather in December should give him a huge advantage over Moss.) There is not a single WR that I would trade Owens for.

I predict tonight 8 catches for 90 yrds and a TD or 2. You know Owens loves the lights!

Top 10 WRs (FBGs standard scoring)Weeks 1-4:

Randy Moss

Chad Johnson

T.J. Houshmandzadeh

Plaxico Burress

Braylon Edwards

Roy Williams

Steve Smith

Terrell Owens

Kevin Curtis

Reggie Wayne

Weeks 1-17: Who knows?

So your argument is, "Ignore the stats and don't pay attention to what they've done so far, pay attention to what I say they are going to do"?

Can we let TO play this week before we total up the points? Seems like the fair thing to do to me...
I quoted stats through 4 weeks of play to keep it fair, my friend. :lmao:
My apologies for my incorrect assumption... In regards to the original post, I don't think that point totals tell the whole story to this point in the season. The original poster spoke about T.O.'s situation and the fact that he plays indoors on a very explosive offense. He has not been the top point producer to this point in the season, but I don't think I would trade him for any other receiver straight up when looking at future point values...

My only concern with Moss in New England wrapping things up too early in the season but if I had Owens, I would trade him for Moss in a heartbeat.

Well, using stats from a limited sample pool (like only 4 weeks of data) is also skewed.... Kevin Curtis is clearly not in the same league as TO & Reggie Wayne. A single game against a lame Defense (Det) shows this this ranking is flawed. While I agree TO is a solid WR, I don't see him as #1. I have him Top 10, but Randy Moss is clearly in a very good situation with Brady and a pass happy offense (does not hurt that their RB is hurt).

If you are talking Redraft, TO is valuable. In Dynasty or Keeper, I'd rather have several other players like Wayne or Edwards over TO.

Can we please add Antonio Gates in there? I know he is not a WR, but its the same ish and he is basically as good as anyone in the league.

Thanks for nothing dillweed. When will these newbees learn to stop keerocking the talent?

1-10 BUF47 (:18) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass deep right to T.Owens to BUF 25 for 22 yards (G.Wilson). Caught in flat at BUF 25. The Replay Assistant challenged the pass completion ruling, and the play was REVERSED. (Shotgun) T.Romo pass incomplete deep right to T.Owens. Pass hit ground before catch in flat at BUF 25.

OOPS way to step up there T.O

2 catches on 11 targets for 25 yards. There's your best receiver in football. LMFAO.

Oh well, start another thread next week. He's bound to outscore Moss someday, maybe when New England has their bye . . .

I thought it was about 11 targets. And what, at least three drops?

I'm still 5-0 on both teams with him because I had a couple of easy matchups this weekend but he can get it back together any time he feels like it.

I started this thread. Yet another prediction of mine is crap. Oh well, at least the Yankees lost...
Fantasy 101 - Pimp a player, and you'll jinx him. Expect nothing, and you'll never be disappointed.

Thank you Romo, for not getting the ball to TO. I'm off the schneid!

Anybody with Romo and Owens and a half way decent supporting cast is probably 5-0 or 4-1 and has to be lovin the fact Owens hasn't gotten uncorked yet. He will get his, it's the law of averages. Just like Moss won't get 2-3 every game, TO won't get 0 every game. There will be at least one game in the next 11 where he goes off for 3 tuddies.
