tackle opportunities? (1 Viewer)

i am hoping the forum crew could throw out names of guys who will probably play on bad teams, especially bad dt's who will have shot at getting alot of tackles and assists. assuming their opponent will be playing with the lead and running the ball alot.

i am looking for others in the mold of foote,delmas/manuel,laurinaitis, butler/atogwe, afalava, m. brown, ruud etc. not necessarily looking for studs like willis etc. i would think 4-3 mlb's and strong safeties on these types of teams offer the most bang for the buck. any help or thoughts are appreciated. thanks

Subscribers can find tackle opportunity information on every team in the league in Larry Thomas' matchup sheet (posted by Thurs each week) and sprinkled throughout many of our weekly columns. Sample size is an issue early, but the numbers become meaningful by midseason and sometimes earlier.

So far this season looks similar to last season.

BAL, NYG, WAS, ATL, MIN look like above-average tackle matchups for linebackers. DET, CLE, KC, STL are below average tackle matchups (making their linebackers strong plays each week as well). We may see CAR, NO, NE join the upper ranks and DEN join the lower ranks soon.
