The FBG headline reports that Cutler "demands" to be traded? I clicked the link, I don't see it. The only thing I read is..

The trade talk infuriated Cutler, who now wants to leave the Broncos.
In the aftermath of the trade Saturday, Cutler asked permission to find his own trade partner but was denied by the Broncos, according to the source. Cutler is still hopeful he will be traded because he feels betrayed by McDaniels, the source said.
Big difference between what the link said and what the head line says. And as for the link, not one quote from Cutler in it.

Seems that FBG is trying to make the news here and not report it.

Broncos QB Cutler Demands Trade

Bill Williamson, ESPN.com - [Full Article]

Denver Broncos QB Jay Cutler has reportedly asked to be traded because the team attempted to trade for New England Patriots QB Matt Cassel. Cutler was apparently being offered-up as part of a trade by the Broncos.
Source was given to read further (ESPN) to check the facts, which I see you pursued (as did I):
A source close to the situation confirmed the Broncos were trying to acquire quarterback Matt Cassel from the New England Patriots by dangling Cutler, their Pro Bowl quarterback.

The trade talk infuriated Cutler, who now wants to leave the Broncos.
Looks pretty accurate news gathering to me. :goodposting:

Asking to be able to talk to teams to try to find an interested trade partner and demanding to be traded are two different things, no?http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=3943257

:goodposting: You'd think FBG had hired some ex-ESPN guys or something with sensationalistic crap like that.

Wow. Does it really matter what word is used 'demands' or 'requests'? It draws your attention to an article, so then read it and make of it what you will. FBGs does a great job of keeping up with the happenings in the league and getting it out there ASAP......the wording really moves folks to post objections? That's just a little overboard.

I don't know what the OP is upset about.

"wants to leave" and "asked permission to find his own trade partner" is pretty much the same thing in my mind as "requested a trade."

Sounds to me like the OP is either a disgruntled Broncos fan who doesn't want to face reality or a Cutler fantasy owner who is upset to see his player's value potentially plummet (should Cutler be traded to a fantasy wasteland like Detroit or Chicago or Oakland).

I appreciate FBG posting stories like this and I am capable of reading and interpreting for myself.

Now at the end of the day I suspect Denver will come to their senses and realize they screwed up badly, do all they can to kiss Cutler's behind and make good, and I suspect Cutler will realize that there are not too many teams that need him where he will have receivers as good as he has in Denver. But if I were thinking about trading for Cutler in dynasty I would want to know that this controversy is going on and that Cutler might be leaving and I would wait for it to be resolved before pulling the trigger to acquire Cutler, so again, FBG is doing us all a great service by bringing these stories to our attention.

Thanks Joe!

I think it is a matter of semantics, but I'll try and get whomever posted this to comment on what he was thinking on this story.

I changed it to "requests trade".

I'm the person who posted the news story and I apologize for any inconveniences.

At the time, the tone of the article and the information available made me believe that it was more than just a casual 'Hey - please trade me.' Cutler is/was clearly upset.

I think 'demands' may have been a bit harsh but I think that there's more to the story than just 'requesting a trade' if Cutler is trying to get it done himself.

Regardless, I was not trying to fabricate or sensationalize the news.

I'm not Ed Werder.
