Tampa Bay Rays 2011 thread (1 Viewer)

Jesus, that Yankees lineup is terrible. They can go till the 20th and the Yankees will have no shot at putting a run across. F'n Girardi
They earned the right to field a terrible lineup in game #162.Had you started 3-9 instead of 2-10, it wouldn't be an issue.

If the Sox and Rays both win, day game tomorrow... yes? I may have to take a sick day.
4 o'clock game. I am going to the stadium and look for scalpers.
Why would you need a scalper? Just show up early at the box office.
local radio said it was going to be close to a sellout. That's what I heard around 4PM today. But the local jocks are always bellyaching and schilling for the Rays so who knows. I'm tired about hearing about the foreclosure crisis, the bridge too far, the economy, all tired topics. I'd go more often if I didn't have a grumpy 8 mo pregnant wife and 3 kids who all need something from me, homework, trips to ballet, etc, etc...

Dd they already start selling tickets? i would think they have not but maybe I'm not thinking.

Since yesterday, I heard.

Amazed that the umpires in the red sox game actually conferred and made a correct call.

Glad that is happening a bit more these days.

Watching on SUN, the Rays announcers are the best, they do such a good job of not making it more than it is but the one guy just said "Is this really happening" to the play by play man, just awesome.

Meanwhile in Atlanta, Chase Utley just hit a single in the top of the 13th.
Commentators talking about Philadelphia "protecting" the rest of the NL, making the Braves earn it. I guess NYY doesn't care about "protecting" the AL as much.

Boston in good shape right now, 3-2 9th, batting with runners on the corners and NO OUTS!
Thats ok, the Rays don't want to back into anything anyway.
I agree, just finish them off and it really matters little what the Red Sox do, they'll be happy to play them tomorrow in rode to advance. I am surprised the Yanks don't want to end the Rays season, seems to me they are the more dangerous team of the 2 but maybe I'm a little bias.

I agree, but they also have to know that whoever survives the 163rd game is going to be at a strategic disadvantage. Yankees have their A list starters all lined up, and they probably feel confident they could beat either team. They are pretty damn good team, unlike the RedSox. I also think they take a sick pleasure in making the Sox squirm.

The Yankees played their starters. They pulled them when they were up 7-0.
