Tank Johnson/Tommie Harris (1 Viewer)

I thought it was Tommie Harris.

Still following the trend of DTs against Seattles LG.

I started Harris today thinking he was the one who would be playing against the LG. But so far I am seeing that Tank Johnson has 2 tackles Harris 0. So am I wrong about where they line up? Or are the Bears doing somthing different right now?

I think it was Brett Favre who called Tomie Harris the next Warren Sapp. With 5 sacks in four games, he looks like a monster.

Tommie Harris could or will end up being defensive player of the year if his current level of play continues.

I was sure Harris was playing over LG against the Vikings the week before and that is where I have always seen him is at UT.

The early tackles by Tank just had me wondering.

I am pretty sure Harris got a PD that my league did not credit him with also.

Harris is definitly the Bears best Dlineman. I'm not sure he is at Sapps peak level yet but he is very good.

I am pretty sure Harris had somthing to do with the Vikings giving Hutch so much money..

Tommie Harris is available on my WW. I know that he probably won't play at the level that he has been playing for the rest of the season, but how to you expect him to perform the rest of the year?

My feeling is that he will continue playing at an extremely high level. The guy is a stud. If you were to ask football coaches at any level what they would rather have between a blue chip RB or a DT, then you would be shocked to find that vote tilting towards the DT. Harris is the man at that position and he is playing in the right scheme and for the right coach to maximize his production. I do not think you can count on him for a sack each game but I would much rather play Harris, as opposed to starting a DE that is somewhere in the DL 15-25 range. I take talent over position/situation every time with my defensive line-up decisions.

If you have room and are struggling at DL, then consider picking him up. I keep saying this buy Harris very well could end up being defensive player of the year.

The current level of play on that whole team is off the charts. But Tommie Harris is not playing over his head. He is playing like the best defensive tackle in the league, which is what he is. You shouldn't hesitate to use him as a bye week sub or with the right matchup. You probably still shouldn't start a DT every week. If you did, Harris would be your guy right now.

Didn't see the Bears/Bills game but I did notice with dismay that Harris didn't record a single tackle, sack, PD or anything else this week. I'm assuming he played, although statswise it's hard to tell. Is he now attracting constant double-teams? He's been a must-start for me in my Zealots leagues that require two starting DTs, but I've had to sit one of John Henderson or Kevin Williams every week to make room for him. Embarrassment of riches, I know, but aggravating when the guy you thought you could count on puts up a donut, while the guy you left on your bench registers a sack and a decent number of solos. Obviously one game does not a trend make, but do any of you see this as more than just an anomaly?

I sat charles grant for this bum and it will cost me a win because grant scored10.5 in my scoring systemthus I need 35 pts out of ray lewis and terrel suggs tonight(6 sacks and 5 tackles) instead I parlayed Harris and traded him this past friday for Troy Williamson

Yeah! WTF was up with that Harris stat line? any Chicago homers know what happened there?
I need a Bills homer to verify but I am fairly certain Harris matched up against a fill-in...second/third string player...from snap one. Thus, Harris drew a TON of attention yesterday and, well, the Bears' DE destroyed the Bills.

I was at the game and was surprised that Harris wasn't more active. The Bills did start an inexperienced player at RG in place of Chris Villarial, but McGahee had very little success running the ball so Harris didn't get many tackle opportunities and they did a pretty good job of slowing him down in pass protection (which opened things up for Mark Anderson).
