I like it and I do think it's an upgrade over Chavous who was highly overrated IMHO. Nice to see the vikes assessing most all of their needs before the draft. That way they can just select the best player available.

I'm not a Tank fan, but I agree Chavous was over-rated. Tank is better in run support, while Chavous is better in pass protection.I would assume the Vikes did not give Tank the $16mm / 5-year that Chavous received, but received a comparable player.

A run playing safety may be just the thing to keep Darren Sharper playing well - and healthy - for another Pro Bowl season.

I think Chavous did well for Minnesota in his years here but this really is nothing to get excited about.

I'd like to see the numbers of the deal since Tank is very middle of the road, but he's had a ton of pressure put on him over the last couple years in a Titans secondary that's been 2nd rate all the way around. He's not a solo star for sure, but could be a serviceable bit player. He's still great on ESPN NFL2K5, by the way...

Tank Williams is only 25 years old signed for less money than Chavous would have costed and is now 2 years removed from a major injury that has hampered his recent performance.

Solid move imo.

Well, for THAT, he's a good deal. Good team guy but just not above average.
