Tashard Choice (1 Viewer)

How much of an opportunity will he have to play going forward? Barber is expected to return next week and move back to the #1 Rb position. Don't know yet whether Jones will miss any time or not. If he doesn't, Choice may get a few more carries per game, but he will have to wait for an injury Barber or Jones to get a significant bump.

Maybe a one-week pickup with a Jones injury (or if Barber is delayed another week)? In a smaller roster redraft league (15/16 players), can you have a spot for Choice? Certainly different in a larger roster league (20+) or dynasty.

Don't bet on Barber returning next week. Choice may be a decent play, given Barber and Jones' injuries. However, after watching last night's game, it's very apparent that Choice is the clear #3 RB on the team. If Jones or Barber are available, Choice's role will be limited.

Agree on not betting that Barber is back next week.On pure talent I agree that Choice is #3 (although still very talented). If we're going to factor in durability then the rankings get a little tighter. Felix showed why he's such an intriguing guy and also why he may always be better suited as a complimentary back.

Who really knows though--I'm not a Dallas coach nor do I know what decrees are coming down from King Jerry.

Captain Obvious summary: No matter what it looks like Choice will get work including goal line duties whenever Barber is out--he might have earned a larger share of the load in that scenario after last night. Not enough carries to go around when Barber and Jones are healthy.

Choice looks to be a MUCH better blocker than Felix. Should help give confidence to the coaches to keep him on the field more often.

barber didn't miss a day of practice last week, and if felix is out I bet MB3 plays
That is very misleading. Barber may have been at practice, but he didn't practice. The only part of practice he partook in all week long was warmups - jogging and stretching. With the recent news on Felix, Choice is almost a must start this coming week. After the BYE though, I would expect Barber back in, and Choice back to the bench - with or without a healthy Jones. There's nothing Choice does (ETA - other than stay healthy) that Barber doesn't do better.

BTW - why aren't people calling out Barber for being a wuss? He's been hurt as many times as Jones over the past two years now.

while the number of injuries is the same he's done it on far more than the what? 43? career carries felix has.

I don't think you're necessarily talking to me, but I'm not calling either of them a wuss (my over/under as a NFL RB would be 2 plays, so I'm not going to name-call). The fact is that both of those guys have had their durability issues which made Choice an intriguing stash guy.

Choice had a couple of catches/carries weeks 1-2. Last night he clearly didn't 'start', but he was in on 3rd down, most likely b/c of his blocking/catching ability. He also had a wildcat carry (or two?).

In PPR, I think he's startable with either MBIII -or- Fe Jones hurt...which might mean alot of spot-starts until the end of the season.
