Was Tatum traded?Saw a 10 second clip a few minutes ago that aired on Foxsports news as reporters caught up to Tatum Bell the morning after their Arizona preseason game. In Tatum Bell's words..."I'm the #1 guy around here, coaches have assured me of that."
But how does this affect Reggie Bush's value?
I'm in an 18-team league. We start 1-QB, 2-RB, 2-WR, 1-RB/WR...etc. I'm sure you can do the math, but either one of the Bells have value in my league. I'll be very happy with last years numbers from Tatum as my #3. Oh yea, Lundy was my last pick, #228 overall.......we drafted 3-weeks ago. I jumped on that wagon early. Are either of these guys useable? Really, if you look at what Mike Anderson did last season it was average at best. And somehow, some way T. Bell sniffed 1k yards. But when could you just plug one of them into the lineup and forget it?
Anderson was 9th in my league last year and Bell was 21st. Given that it's a 12 teamer, start two RB plus a flex, I'd say both had huge value and exceeded their draft postion. Are either of these guys useable? Really, if you look at what Mike Anderson did last season it was average at best. And somehow, some way T. I have stayed away from these guys, it didn't hurt last year. And I don;t think it will this year either.IF(bad FF word!) someone takes the job out right they are a stud. But you have to pay a Top 4/5 pick to get them...
I think Tatum just overheard one of the coaches saying "Bell's our guy," and in all his excitement he forgot what Mike's last name was. This is interesting and I'm a little surprised more people aren't making some sort of deal about this. I know in the past Tatum said he felt he was the best back in Denver. But to come out and say publicly that the coaches told him he was the number one guy is pretty ballzy, unless it's true. I'm not sure how to take it, but it backs up my feelings that drafting him as the #20-25 RB is pretty solid value since I doubt his situation gets worse than last year.
this guy said tatum is #2 to everyone----- now thats funnywell tatum thought he was #1 back when ron dayne was actually #1...tatum has always been #2 to everyone but tatum, so I'll just wait to hear it from Shanny.

I drafted Tatum Bell in the 11th round yesterday as my #4 back. I love the Mike Bell bandwagon, because I know Tatum is someone who if I have an injury or bye week emergency will get his touches and has the potential to rip off a couple of big plays. That's more valuable to me than, say, having TJ Duckett or Brandon Jacobs on my bench and if I need to use him, hoping he'll convert a goal line carry. Are either of these guys useable? Exactly. Tatum is a great #4 RB, way better than most handcuffs. I have him there in two leagues and I'm thrilled about it.I drafted Tatum Bell in the 11th round yesterday as my #4 back. Denver head coach Mike Shanahan is still not tipping his hat as to who will be the starting tailback
Let's see...It seems like I've heard that line before...oh yeah. Jack Palance said that to Jack Nicholson in Batman right before he tried to have good ol' Jack killed for messing around with his wife. Hmmm...now that I think about it Shanny looks a little like Jack Palance.Grissom: "Jack, it's an important job. I need someone I can trust. You... are my number one... guy!"

That's the first thing I thought of too. Haven't seen the movie in years but still use the quote (at least my recollection of the quote) ... "Jjaaaaack. Jjaaaaack. You're my number one guy, Jjaaaaack".Let's see...It seems like I've heard that line before...oh yeah. I think it's shanahan being Shanahan.. Seriously he loves messing with the fantast football people.. He also loves to confuse the team they will face this week so hopefully they plan against the other RB.. He has been doing this for a while now and you guys continue to get sucked in..As a Mike Bell owner, it seems to reason that the only reason Shanahan is not talking right now is because he has had a change of heart. That's what it seems like to me anyways. I hope this is not the case, but it is very suspicious. I don't think M. Bell did enough to lose the job. If Shanahan used Mike for Tatum motivation, that kind of sucks.
