caddy isn't a real threat out of the backfieldseems unnecessary to me. Gruden likes his RBs to be a part of the passing game and Tatum fails in this department. Seems like the Bucs could get by with the combo of Graham and Pittman.
Not really, because it was just a matter of time before he resumed his main role anyway. He's getting into football shape, and from what I've seen, that is close. If Detroit can get some value for Bell now they would be best served to do so.this would knock Kevin jones up a few notches!

Yep, lacking a ah, let me see, oh yeah, a ?the thread title should be changed to Rumor or something..the title makes it sound like this is being confirmed by local radio
It smells fishy. Almost like a ploy...
that sums it up, nice talk, next topicSo now he can get a LOT of hype and suck in ANOTHER place?

It doesn't make much sense to me unless there's more to the story (e.g. Bell has become a problem in the locker room). On a serious note, does anybody think that the Lions can afford to let Bell go? I mean, realistically, Jones still isn't 100 percent, although he's looking good so far. Calhoun is done for the year, again. And Cason, well, they saw what he could do last year. Putting aside everything we know about Bell, is it even a legit option to let him go?
That depends on what they get back. Maybe the Bucs are sold on Bell and would return one of their other RBs as a KJ backup. On a serious note, does anybody think that the Lions can afford to let Bell go? classic! It smells fishy. Almost like a ploy...
He's on target for over 50 receptions, a year after Kevin Jones got 61 in 12 games. RB's in Detroit couldn't be involved in an offense that passes more.seems unnecessary to me. Gruden likes his RBs to be a part of the passing game and Tatum fails in this department. Seems like the Bucs could get by with the combo of Graham and Pittman.
Its actually on my team page that the Lions are shopping Bell now that Duckett seems to be healthy. I'm Hoping Houston trades for him. He may not be thought of highly on this board but I like him and Houston needs some speed/talent in the backfield. If all it would take is a 6th/7th or a LB he is worth for his speed alone.Ditkaless Wonders said:This obviously B.S. rumor might have had a little more traction had the Lions not just put Calhoun on I.R. I mean really, a 3 and 1 team trading a serviceable back to another 3 and 1 team in the conferencewhen their lead back still has some questions on how well he wil come back from injury.

If Jones is that far ahead of schedule; Duckett is getting healthy and Cason is decent as a 3rd option, then, yes, I could see the Lions turning him loose. I would stab a guess the team has a line on another body they can pick up via FA to stash on the practice squad or sign out right and promote to the active roster. Bell blows. Period. He put the ball on the carpet...again...last week at a critical point in the game. He is a liability if/when the Lions decide to run the football. He cannot grind yards or clock. I have seen him trip or get tackled by a hash mark more than once. Speaking as a Lions fan, if they are in a position to get something...anything...for him, then, trade him.Take the homer glasses off...The Bucs and Lions play each other Week 7. I just don't see these two teams helping each other out via trade considering that game is just around the corner. On a serious note, does anybody think that the Lions can afford to let Bell go? No homer glasses at all my friend. I'm speaking as somebody who has watched every single game, and saw how absolutely pathetic their "running game" was last season without Jones. Say what you will about Bell, and yes I agree he blows, but if Cason and Duckett would be their ONLY option should Jones get injured, I'd rather see them hold onto him.If Jones is that far ahead of schedule; Duckett is getting healthy and Cason is decent as a 3rd option, then, yes, I could see the Lions turning him loose. I am a life long Lions fan. I was referring to myself taking off my own homer glasses on the topic of Bell being traded. It is highly unlikely the Lions and Bucs do any business with that game on the horizon. We're stuck with T. Bell for the time being. No homer glasses at all my friend. Eric Dickerson.Next question please. Please name the last time that a running back was traded after Week 4.And then also please name the last time that a running back made a significant fantasy contribution after being traded after Week 4.I'll hang up and listen.![]()
BUT WHY???It smells fishy. Almost like a ploy...
