Tatum Bell vs SD Defense (1 Viewer)

Looking at the ranking for T.Bell on this week's cheatsheet's, I immediatley thought it was a very high ranking considering that SD is like 6th in the league against the run and considering who also was ranked behind Tatum on the cheatsheets! Merriman is back now, so wouldnt that make SD more effective versus the run as well, not to mention they are at home? I know Denver is always known to be able to run it against anyone, but this season has been different. Is T.Bell fully recovered from his turf toes? He looked great last week in the first half, then it seemed like he tired out come the second half.

Anyways.... I was wondering what other shark members here in the pool thought about Tatum and his ranking and if anyone else kind of is thinking the same way I am on his rank versus who he is playing and even those who he is ranked ahead of!!!

Thoughts?

I can't bring myself to start Tatum Bell over Cedric Houston at this point, for what it's worth...

I thought the ranking was a little high, too...

KJ is ranked right behind Tatum and he's going up against the #1 rush D in the league (MIN). I'd say they're both ranked a little too high but I've got to decide which of them to start as my RB#2 this weekend. I'm leaning toward Tatum as I think he will get a ton of carries as Shanny attempts to minimize Cutler's impact on the game.

With that being said, Tatum is a risk beyond the tough matchup - those toes could flare up at any moment and then you've got M. Bell coming in for the remainder of the game. Risky, risky, risky....

I'm in the same boat, picking between KJ and Tater. I'm leaning KJ because the Lions are at home and I'm worried about the Broncos being blown out on the road. Cutler was very unimpressive and the Chargers could absolutely eat him up. Nightmare scenario for Tater: Cutler has two early turnovers and San Diego goes up early. By halftime, they're up 17. Tater gets 13 carries for 37 yards. He doesn't make up ground like KJ with receiving yards.Tough one to call, but I do agree that both of their cheatsheet rankings are too high.

FWIW, I own both and have been shuffling my lineup all week. Both, neither, one or the other, I can't seem to make up my mind. Both are risky plays and I would also agree that they're a bit too high.

The only rankings I worry about are my own! I have a hard time believing that people get bent out of shape about a ranking that may or may not be out of whack.

Not sure anyone's getting "bent out of shape". The rankings were simply a vehichle to get this topic disucssed. Do you have anything of value to add to the "Tatum" discussion?

You guys are missing the point. This is a thinly veiled Keerocking thread. The missing ingredient is an insult to Dodds or at least an accusation of intoxication while prognosticating on his part.

As for Tatum, he might get near 100, but it will be a tough 100 if he does as it looks like Phillips and McCree will be avaialble and possibly Castillo along with the fact that I think the Chargers will probably be focused on attempting to stop the run first in Cutler's second NFL start.

Yes, If you think he is a strong start..play him. If you don`t..sit him. Predicting FF (other than LT) is a futures market..no one really knows. If I did I would be buying pork bellies cheap right now.
