49ers signed TE Jordan Matthews.

Matthews, who appeared in two games for the 49ers last year, will move to tight end as he looks to resurrect his career. The 49ers are hoping Matthews can be insurance for George Kittle, who's missed 10 games the past two seasons. Matthews joins a crowded but unproven depth chart of Charlie Woerner, Ross Dwelley, MyCole Pruitt, and UDFA Josh Pederson behind Kittle.
