TE Oronde Gadsden II, LAC (2 Viewers)

Looks like he turned out to be just a guy. Sucks because for a couple games, he looked like he might be special
He is a special receiving TE. Problem is they need blocking TE's because the O-Line is so bad. They aren't throwing much so the volume for the entire passing game is down. If you are just watching box scores it seems like he fell of a cliff. But it is game script/o-line caused. Not talent or him.

Eagles, Chiefs, Cowboys, Texans. I don't see how you can start him the rest of the way, with the possible exception of the Cowboys. Not to even mention the Herbert injury.

Agreed.

Disagree.
Chargers will need to put up points against ALL 3 teams to win.
They didn't need to throw to beat the Raiders.

Herbert will be fine. He returned to the game and finished it.

I think it's jumping the gun to just say Herbert will be fine since he's having surgery today. He could definitely miss a game, but maybe not. That wasn't the point of my post however.

I'm torn. This team is on it's heels right now. Herbert could be fine and make Gadsden relevant. Or he might not be.

Truth is he looked to be a league winner and now he is grouped with a dozen other TE's you can pick from.
Agree about next year though. Potential to be a star.

Just because they need to throw doesn't mean that they can. Their O-line is decimated and they need to keep TE's in to help block so that limits the routes Gadsden can run if that position is needed to block. Also, surgery for Herbert means he is a question mark moving forward. Until he is cleared to play there is a decent chance he has to miss a game (or more).
