TE Trade value (1 Viewer)

With a couple of big name TE's going down, a few underperforming, and the byes almost done I'm curious what kind of trade value people are seeing for TEs right now - particularly guys like Vernon Davis, Celek, etc.

Last week got Scheffler and Randy Moss for Dallas Clark and Roy Williams. The trade partner had Cooley. Not sure how I'll make out on this one, but I like having Moss going forward. Plus, I see the Colts locking up playoff positioning pretty early, making all offensive starters a risk come fantasy playoff time.

In .5 ppr, one owner had daniels and celek.

traded celek straight up for kyle orton, his rostered qbs were cassell and bulger.

fwiw

traded Witten and Maclin to the Cooley owner in my 14 team PPR league for Greene and DBrown. Needed help at RB, hoping one of these guys comes through.

I have both Davis and Gonzo in my 12-team ppr league (start 3 wrs, 1 te, no flex) and have tried unsuccessfully for the last few weeks to move one of them for an upgrade at receiver. I've received very little interest, and the only offers I got were borderline offensive. (One guy offered me Green Bay's D for Tony G).

Maybe OD's injury shakes things up a bit, but I suspect the owners hurting at TE will just look to add a guy from the waiver wire.

all the talk about this year having a ton of monster TEs is clearly overstated. Right now it looks like Dallas Clark and then a whole bunch of guys who are basically close to the same with OD going out.

Good call, Vernon Davis leads the NFL in receiving TDs.

I see your point but am not quite ready to put Vernon on that pedestal yet ... he clearly is much much better then he lead the world to believe over the past two seasons and i would like to hope he won't crash to earth but consistency is a HUGE deal in the TE position ... I would like to see how this season plays out with vernon ... to see what teams can do when they make him a top priority of the scheme

I started the year with Witten. Trade him for O Daniels and Housh back in week 3. Just lost Daniels and am now trying to trade Housh (or Holmes or Sims-Walker) for Vernon Davis or Gates. The guy is weak at WR but has both Gates and Davis at TE.

Not sure if he'll make the trade but that is what I think they are worth.

I have Witten and Celek. Looking to trade Witten to the Daniels owner for Pierre Thomas or Ryan Grant. He also has M.Turner and R.Rice.

good luck with that
You can say that again. As a Dallas Clark owner I've had multiple trade offers for him and I've declined them all.I'm in a 1pt PPR league and wouldn't trade him for anything less than a #1 WR/RB right now. He's nearly tied with Randy Moss (123.5), Ocho (124.1) and Fitz (127.9) with 123.1. It just doesn't get any better than that.IMO Clark optimizes your starting lineup by giving you #1WR production at the TE position which is GOLD.

In my main keeper league, I traded Ochocinco & Ricky Williams for Vernon Davis & Brandon Jacobs. My other WRs are Wayne, Austin, Sims-Walker, & Crabtree. RBs are Peterson, CJ3. I needed a strong TE badly. I tried other trades (Clark, Daniels, Gates) before this one without any luck (thank God I didn't get Daniels). It was a bad trade value-wise, but I needed a TE and have a strong group of WRs now and in the future. TE was my only weakness, and Jacobs looks to be coming back into form with a great schedule to finish the year (he is my backup RB).
