It's being reported that Tennessee TE Ben Troupe will visit the Bucs on Saturday.

If we can't sign Alge Crumpler I suppose Troupe might be the next best option. I loved him at Florida, but I haven't heard much about him since hes been a Titan.

That's because he can't run the ball and nobody on that team can throw it. Nobody that starts anyhow.

Infatuation with mediocre TE's at FBG's as well. He will be on a number of "sleeper"/"value" lists despite the fact that he has put up 100/1000/7 after 4 years in the NFL. He played in all 16 games last yearf and had 5 catches for 57 yards and has had little success outproducing the scintillating combo of Erron Kinney, Bo Scaife and Ben Hartstock.

He should compete with Alex Smith for the starting job, but Smith has a big head start on him having played in the offense for the past few years, so I wouldn't expect Troupe to win that battle. Gilmore is strictly a blocking TE, like a 3rd tackle. Knowing the Bucs, they'll probably add another 1-2 TEs during the off-season.
