TE Will Heller, Detroit Lions (1 Viewer)

Anyone know anything about all 6'6"/270 of this fella'

He's had one TD in each of the past two games and I don't see any threads on him here.

I was reading about Wittens' potential injury for instance and it got me thinking who would I fill into my first place teams lineup, I mean really? Especially in a 14-team PPR-league in which I'm not carrying a backup TE at this point for various reasons.

Week 15 ARI

Week 16 @SF

Thoughts?

If it's a redraft league, I'd go Martellus Bennett in a heartbeat if Witten is out. It's not like Witten is having a great season, himself, but Bennett would be a great pickup if Witten misses the game. He's likely gone if it's a dynasty league. I'm also assuming Brandon Pettigrew is gone. While Heller has had some TDs, I'd be hesitant to start any TE on the Lions besides Pettigrew. Heller could score again, but I bet there's a better option (but maybe not). It's hard to say without knowing your who's available.

Targets, Season: Pettigrew 54, Heller 30

Targets, Last 4: Pettigrew 26, Heller 9

Pettigrew has started every game and he's a good blocker.

Heller of late is mostly in 2 TE sets; his high yardage game since Week 4 is 33 yards, with 4 games of 1 or 0 catches (2 last w/e).

Fri, Nov 27 - Pettigrew will undergo knee surgery which will end his rookie season, MLive.com reports.Keep an eye out for Heller as a sleeper the rest of the way. You know they got to pass, any rookie QB knows the TE can be his best friend...

Heller should be a hot item on the waiver wire with the Pettigrew injury now for sure.

You don't suppose he'll turn out to be as great(or should I say duds) as other touted TEs here such as Finley and Fred Davis do you? I'll try to pick him up and I'm quite certain my TE problems will continue. On one team I've had Carlson,Finley and Pettigrew with very poor numbers and on another Keller,Finley,Pettigrew and Fred Davis with the same poor results. I'm tired of the inconsistancy TEs bring unless you grab one of the top 5-8.
