Below are team needs as measured by top 240 superflex dynasty ranking. Max ranking as follows: QB - 41, RB - 71, WR(2) - 98, TE - 34. Let’s start with QB.

2/4
QB
Cleveland
41
Pittsburgh
41
NY Giants
41
Las Vegas
38
NY Jets
36
Tennessee
35
New Orleans

LA Rams
28
Seattle

Minnesota
23

Very needy - do something this year
Cleveland - at >30 million over the cap, probably going cheap (rookie or vet).
Pittsburgh - trending towards Russell Wilson, with Justin Fields as the alternative.
NY Giants - rookie 1st round. They’ll need a plan B, or if they fall in love with Ward and/or Sanders pay up. Same outfit paid Daniel Jones…

Needy - we are already nervous, and by next year we could be desperate
Las Vegas - I’ve penciled in Sam Darnold here, cap space + dire need + not high enough draft pick to guarantee top two. Will they throw a Dart in this plan?
NY Jets - time to send Woody into the darkness until after the draft. Rodgers and a day two QB?
Tennessee - another year of Levis or another direction? Ironic that Willis looked really good in GB.
New Orleans - I think they ride with Carr/Rattler this year.

We are Ok, but maybe not next year
LA Rams - we love Stafford. However, does anybody love him more?
Seattle - how long is the Geno era going to last? No guaranteed money for this year. Cut Geno, add Darnold?

We have our QB (we think)
Minnesota - McCarthy takes the reins.

RBs - I think the tackle alignment rule change has shifted teams towards running the football. So I think last year is not an anomaly, and this years RB class should support the shift.

2/4
RB
Dallas
71
Las Vegas
71
Minnesota
71
Denver
58
Cleveland
53
Pittsburgh
39
LA Chargers
35
Chicago
33
Arizona
30
New England
29

We got nothing
Dallas - a lot of mocks have Jeanty to the boys, but lots of viable Day 2 options.
Las Vegas - sign a cheap vet and fill your other needs.
Minnesota - I suspect they resign Aaron Jones, but may draft heir apparent

Looking for a 1a RB
Denver - Williams is a FA. Another committee RB would not surprise me
Cleveland - no cap space. Cheap rookie to go with Ford
Pittsburgh - Harris is FA, and Warren is a RFA. What they really need is OL and WR
LA Chargers - Harbaugh will really have to like the RB or WR over OL. Not likely…
Chicago - Detroit drafted Gibbs when they already had Monty and Swift. If they pass on drafting an RB, would love to see Chubb here

We thought we had a 1a
Arizona - I am glad I am not a Benson owner. Maybe he improves ala Tank Bigsby
NE - Stevenson needs new gloves, stick’em, and anything else. They have a QB and need just about everything else.

TE - I was surprised how many NFL teams (7) did not have a TE in the top 240 dynasty rankings. I think these rankings have the least value as the teams may not consider themselves needy - they use a committee, the TE is just another blocker, etc.

2/4
TE
Denver
34
LA Chargers
34
New Orleans
34
Seattle
34
LA Rams
34
Indianapolis
34
NY Jets
34
Cincinnati
32
NY Giants
29
Tennessee
28

I am interested
Denver - lack of weapons, Payton has used the TE in the past.
LA Chargers - if the TE production gets consolidated, this could be good

WR - I used the sum of WR 1 and 2, 98 represents outside top 240.

We need help drafting WRs
NE - TMac at 4? Higgins? They’ll do something to support Maye
Carolina - they like size, expect they follow this trend again at some point in the draft. Higgins fits what always seem to target and miss

We need a WR and a whole lot more
Las Vegas - Meyers is underrated, but who else do they have?
Pittsburgh - I think Pickens is a 1B option. Elite contested catcher. Anything else?
Cleveland - we have Jeudy, Tillman, no $$$, no QB. Hard pass for me.
Tennessee - Ridley and ???

Another quality WR and here we go!
Dallas - pretty thin after Lamb.
Denver - Sutton is OK, but then who? They will likely upgrade over Vele.
Green Bay - we got six guys. Not sure if we see any consolidation here - I struggled with dealing with Reed who was not usable if he did not score a TD
Washington - sign me up for McLaurin leftovers!

Good thread.

Will pop of some comments on other stuff later but QB's I thought we got 3 bits of useful intel yesterday:

Jay Glazer was on on radio row and asked about Russell Wilson and said he's probably going to be playing somewhere else next year. He was responding to a question and his answer came off as more of a guess then a report but his guesses on this topic are probably of the educated variety.

Staffords wife was ranting about Kupp leaving, how she does not understand how that could make you better or improve your odds of winning a SB, talking about loving LA but loving an adventure as well. We can get into all the reasons it makes no sense for the Rams to move on from Stafford but somethings been off with Rams and Stafford for last few off-seasons. I'm more in the 50/50 camp he returns. IMO if Rams move on from Stafford it would set off a huge domino effect that I think could impact where Cousins signs, possibly influence Jet's decision on Rodgers and his availablity and all that flows to other teams from that QB movement.

I may be taking KOC's commments out of context but when he says Darnold has earned the right to test free agency it does not sound like they are going to tag him, for sure not tag him and keep him so I think we can know start to zero on JJ being the guy.

Green Bay - we got six guys. Not sure if we see any consolidation here - I struggled with dealing with Reed
A deal involving Wicks, Watson or Reed would be great if a WR needy team washed to cough something up. As a titans fan I’d be interested in any of the three but wouldn’t want to pay much.

I could not resist cobbling together OL rankings. Sources are PFF, PFN, and ESPN analytics.

New England has the honor of being unanimously last. Of note, Denver OL was ranked #1 and has me interested in any offensive weapon upgrades.

RBs - I think the tackle alignment rule change has shifted teams towards running the football
Great thread. Can you explain what you mean by this please?
For 2024 the NFL made tackle alignment a point of emphasis - they must have their helmet aligned with at least the belt line of the center to avoid being flagged. The tackles have a harder time with edge rushers as a result, but also closer to the line of scrimmage which is better for running the football.
