The only team that has not appeared in the playoffs in the past 10 years has been the Texans (who have only been around for 6 seasons). Here's the breakdown in terms of # of years in the playoffs over the past 10 seasons.

IND - 8

NE - 7

GB, PHI, SEA, TB - 6

DAL, DEN, NYG, NYJ, TEN, PIT, STL - 5

JAX, MIA, MIN, BAL - 4

ATL, CHI, OAK, SD, SF, WAS - 3

BUF, CAR, KC, NO - 2

CIN, CLE, ARI, DET - 1

HOU - 0

I'm comfortable with Shanahan remaining the Broncos head coach.

The Dolphins are deceiving. They've missed the playoffs 6 straight years. The previous 4 years, the combined score of their losing games in the playoffs is 147-13. They have the #1 pick this year. That franchise is a disaster since Marino and Shula have been gone, but Ronnie Brown looks real good.

I'm kind of surprised to see Tampa Bay so high actually. Granted, they've usually had a stout defense but they've never struck me as one of those teams that were hovering around playoff contention most years.

As a Lions fan and detroit homer, here's to another 10 years before seeing the playoffs again... :lmao:
How about ONE playoff win in the last 50 years, any team should be able to stumble upon a few wins in this amount of time by accident. I was at that game, I should of kept my ticket stub it could be worth some money!Go Lions and keep going until there is a new owner.

As a Jet fan being in the top half of the back is amazing - one thing about the JEts - they either are good or tank it!

Why ten years? Why not all time, or since the merger, or since the current playoff format?

I too am surprised that TB has made the playoffs that many times. Also, I would have sworn that Carolina had made the playoffs more than twice in the last ten years.

Because New England would not be relevant with regards to appearances?

What a bunch of wasted chances by that Pear Shaped Loser Mike Sherman. Waht a relief that he has moved on. Good luck Aggies with a OC that was an All Pro safety you became a WR coach in the NFL.

The Browns have only been around for 9 of those years as well.

It's a bad cut-off for the Steelers because the first three years of the last 10 were all non-playoff years for them (the only 3 year period in which they didn't qualify since 1986-1988.) They made the playoffs 6 years in a row prior to that cut-off. So, 5 out of 7 or 11 out of 16 both sound a lot better than 5 out of 10.

They didn't make it the year before they went on hiatus anyway, so don't sweat it.
