5Rings

Lurker
Minor changes, but thought your readers should have correct information.1) Delanie Walker is being moved to Norv Turner's H-Back position. He very well might be classified as both a RB and TE in some leagues (like Cooley last year).2) Kwame Harris is not starting at RT. Its Adam Snyder's job to lose. 3) Rumph will start at CB and Walt Harris will be the nickel back.Loved the writeup, with stuff like

The 49ers backup DB depth chart is Byzantine. The cast is as bloated as a feverishly paced noir, and the plot is as thick with red herrings as a slew of whodunits.

thanx 5rings (can't be many other board homers that could have a handle as apt as that :) )...

i didn't do the write up on offense...

as far as harris, i was just going on my latest info which suggested harris is atop depth chart (i thought i found this in multiple sources), but i will give another look...

we do have the means to basically update in nearly real time...

i did mention elsewhere in backup DB section that former starter rumph & newly acquired sammy davis could compete for starting CB opposite incumbent & lock to start shawntae spencer...

i'm not excited about any of these guys, & i could see any of them winning or losing job... before & during season, so the position might be characterized as fluid & in flux...

for practical purposes we have word counts & limits so i couldn't say too much about a player i thought was a backup... some good news i heard about rumph is he has lost 10 lbs & looks quicker. nolan acknowledged he realizes he isn't a safety, so maybe focusing on one position will help him.
