Terelle Pryor runs a 4.38 (1 Viewer)

when i watched his post workout interview, i thought that he made it pretty clear that he only wanted to play QB. i wont be one bit surprised if after the draft, he changes his mind and challenges the 5 games. from my osu friends, he is all ego, and i just dont think enough bad has happened to him yet for him to have had a total personality change.
Anyone should challenge that ruling. It was based on thin-air and it should be challenged for the good of the league. Goodell is literally making things up as he goes along and handing out suspensions whenever he feels like it. Suspensions are supposed to be based on violations of the NFL conduct policy, and there is nothing about transferring punishments from the NCAA to the NFL.Goodell needs to be called out on this or he will continue using his power in irresponsible and erratic ways.
I agree with the NCAA carryover ire. I have no idea why Pryor's lawyer hasn't challenged this. I feel he would win easily.

The ruling seems to give the notion that the NCAA is a minor leagues for the NFL. Any legal pundits know if this ruling creates precedence in terms of NCAA and Pro policy? Granted, the NFL is not a quasi-governmental agency that makes regulations, but the lines of separation seem to be getting more and more blurry. Then you have all these tax supported stadiums being built and I am starting to wonder if some of the amateur athlete rules are being watered down somewhere along the way. Of course the whole NCAA div. 1A football is a huge mess. Throw in Goodell's ruling and I am left wondering where does one end and the other begin?

The problem the NFL has with this situation, is Pryor circumvented the spirit and intent of the qualifications to apply for the supplemental draft. I believe he is trying to keep a landslide of college players deciding to leave college by creating situations that would probably be allowed by a court, but do not meet the letter of the rules setup by the NFL.

Accuracy can be taught...athleticism cannot.
he's not 6 years old
I think Lhucks is right here, with a caveat - technique can be taught - if the student actually wants to learn, applies themselves, and is not a brain dead doofus who cant keep two thoughts in his brain at one time.
Not to the degree people were leading onto, nor accuracy while on the run. For most, if not all, that is simply a gift. There's this odd notion that football fans often have in which teams will spend eons of time developing a player meanwhile the average career is four years and next year there will be a whole new crop of QBs for teams to select from.Check out San Fran's list of QBs the last so many years. They were almost good and supposedly just needed some minor improvement. To side-track a little bit...the Giants had HUGE Jared Lorenzen that was one of the least athletic QBs in recent memory but the guy was tough as nails and could make most (if not all) throws. His accuracy was good and he had a decent head on his shoulders. He lasted a few years and had a couple chances.Andre Woodson was supposedly great then dropped like a rock during his college career. He was with the Gmen last summer and ...yeah he's done.60-70 QBs play every year. The notion of sitting a young QB is nice if it's possible. Often times they have to play.Stephen McGee was a project last year and he almost had to start. IIRC they had to sign someone (Kitna?) so that he didn't have to start. That's a bit much.If people aren't being fair or reasonable in this thread and Pryor will pan out, that's fine. There's no way he is THAT bad and a team is going to bank on him. Not even Al.And BTW 3rd rounder can be re-gained in the compensatory picks so that is a key spot in the draft where they don't hold value. I think it's a fine spot to select a guy in the supplemental draft.

I know al loves him some speed and all, but i gotta think that the icing on the cake is the opprutinity for al to sue the NFL again.

Dude loves picking legal fights.
