That's basically what I was planning to do, but buying a new one on Amazon for $40 and selling my old one on eBay for about $30.  

Just a heads up...I listed my 1st gen firestick on eBay with Kodi/Covenant and Terrarium TV installed...it sold fot $67. Starting price was $25.

Of course I did a factory reset and deregistered it from my account first, then installed Kodi/Covenant and Terrarium.

Not sure why they didn't have a problem with all the others that were sold even in just the last few days with basically the same title & description as mine, or all those others still listed.  Just lucky I guess.

I do not.  Some of the more obscure reality shows my wife watches will sometimes cause minor buffering, but compared to non-realdebrid streams, it's no contest.

Welp the dumb b-word that won my auction hasn't paid, and eBay now has an open ticket for it and I'll get credit for the final value fee. So basically I have to relist it and hope it doesn't get taken down. I so friggin hate deadbeat bidders.

Pretty darn easy to buy a firestick and load Terrarium.  Not much different than installing an app on the phone.  

Totally, which is why it's funny that they go for twice the price with the app.

Ebay is terrible now. It used to be the best thing around. Now, it's mostly a waste.

ebay protects the buyers 100% and screws the sellers. I sold 20k plus there earlier this year but shut down shop after they screwed me over a few times

Played with it a bit last night.  Set up IPVanish on Firestick and scrolled through a couple of movie and show titles.  Works great.  No buffering at all and I fast forwarded through a bunch of stuff.

yeah I did the same. it didn't make any sense why some people can keep selling the same item without warning. I removed all 'kodi' from the listing but used KODI (kodL) and all the keywords to trigger search results. then in images youd have the kodi logo on every pic

I sold mine to one of the earlier bidders last night. The only reason I had his info was that I had made a minor revision to my listing - I had to change Kodi builds because of some server issue with the earlier one.  When I did that, I sent a quick msg to the two who already had bids in, and one answered back that it was cool (he was more interested in terrarium anyway). I actually thought my revision and that exchange might have been what got me flagged for some reason, but it probably was just timing.  Anyway, he said to let me know if I relisted it or had others to sell.  I ended it up telling him that I was listing "as is" with "various apps installed".  I was vague with my wording since I don't know if and how they look at those kind of follow up msgs regarding a pulled post.  I just posted it buy it now at the $36 (+ shipping) price to match the bid he had in and he bought and paid for it 5 min later. 

Granted, that took a trusting buyer, but he probably figured I could be trusted since I was up front about everything that had gone on up to that point.

Ugh. Well, thanks for letting us know that they actually follow up on the threats somewhat. I kinda thought I was being overly cautious. 

At least 7 days isn't too bad, unless you had active items for sale which I imagine would be a pain.
