Terrarium TV (1 Viewer)

Also seeing that Movie Play Box Red (TTV clone) is fixed.  No blokada or mouse toggle needed.

I switch to that weeks ago anyway, will be interesting if I need to install a new version or not. Will get around to it later tonight.

Yeah, updated to latest version of Movie Box Red. Works just fine  . Also trying Cinema, troypoint lists it as the best replacement for ttv.

Me too. Couldnt get a mouse toggle app to install so I said screw it.
Can you login to your router?  The static route method is way easier.  You block the IPs at your router's level.  No apps to install on your fire stick

This is a bit overwhelming for a non-tech person, but it really is the easiest route.  Thanks for the instructions.  I was able to add the two static routes on my Asus router in about 2 minutes but I'm used to working within routers.

Logged into my router settings.  Is there an easy way to make sure traffic (edit: to a firestick for example) is being routed through my proton VPN?

Not finding where to apply the two IPs on my Arris tg1672.  Closest thing seems to be MAC address filtering but I think that's just to block specific devices.  I'd prefer this fix so if anyone has familiarity with Arris please let me know.

I'll have to look at the Blokada fix later.

No RD = non starter for me
If you follow the link I quoted from @tonydead you'll see the 2nd link for TTV that has been tested as of 10/6/18.  I used that over the weekend and it linked up with RD - no issues.  It's working fine for me.  Give it a shot!  I think it's called TTV Patch, or something like that...

I'm holding on to a sliver of hope that whomever re-branded TTV as Movie Box Red will continue to maintain it.  They seemed to be the first to put out an update that got rid of the kill switch and they do have what appears to be new and limited advertisements.  I will gladly watch a 10 second advertisement between shows/movies, it's much less intrusive than the original TTV advertising.

I've been trying out Cinema too (recommended by troypoint as TTV alternative).  It's ok, and they want you to watch an advertisement to unlock the best streams.  Also, as someone mentioned a few days ago Morpheus TV is still working for me.

ETA: Might as well try TeaTV too, I'll download that from troyp tonight.

That's correct, it doesn't work with RD.   I've never had the need or desire to use RD.
Interesting, I found the number of links, especially quality ones, to be very very lacking with terrarium or Kodi.

Generally speaking RD is the source of the top 20 to 30 most reliable/high-quality links on either platform, and they generally work first click every time with no buffering.

Surprised to hear you didn’t have any issues with buffering or finding quality streams without it, that wasn’t my experience at all.  If that worked for me, I wouldn’t use RD either!

Yeah, I'm not demanding 1080p links for everything I watch.  I can find most in 720 or HD (whatever cable companies put out now days) as there isn't anything that really exists in less quality than that unless it's a horrible movie cam (we refuse to watch any cam movies for that reason until they get leaked from a HD source).   Occasionally I have a buffering issue, but, I move on to the next link and can always find something that works in one or two tries.

TTV is much better than Kodi ever was in this regard because is resolves the conflicting links and links requiring passwords like Openload etc.  It's also way better when maintained and updated with Google links added regularly, those links are always good.  I hope these new Movie Red Box guys get back to that.

Should note that my network and wifi are beefed with the best ensuring there aren't any issues on my end.  I'm sure RD works better with more links, but, it's more of a silly belief of mine that I don't support pay for pirate.

Blokada 3.5 works for original TTV download or the Troy version some of us downloaded last week?  Or both?

I only have Troy installed and it's not working.  Both sites are in the blacklist and toggled on (orange).  I restarted my firestick, still nothing.

There are new versions with all that fixed. Uninstall all previous versions and install one that's been updated post 10/6/18.

Thanks...this stuff is changing almost by the day.  Found the instructions for Movie Red and I'm all set, for now.

It’s not silly at all. I respect your stance and wish I had the same luxury.

Our best connection here in Memphis is xfinity and are 3 digits down, but the links we get are usually 720 at best (zero 1080 links) and usually “HD” or SD by the time it works it’s way down the tree. Then when it’s going it’s good for a couple buffers per show, sometimes a straight up drop so we have to back out and resync.

With RD it’s seamless from the first link we select, and if we drop we are back in instantly. As a high-maintenance cord cutter, that reliability, in this market, is worth 10 cents a day,

I have built out XX sticks for local buddies and they all love them. Only two have made the leap to RD and those are the ones who were able to cut the cord. One more came by and I signed hm up to RD and KS IPTV and he’s texted me 2x to say “RD is the ####”.

Yes... in this market it absolutely is. I’m not too proud to pay a dime a day to turn it from a hunt to a breeze, here.

Works great for me,

Did you turn it on? (Power button bottom right corner of screen)?

Not being Smartass... I missed this too. It’ll as to set up a VPN etc

When TTV hit the kill switch I just downloaded Teatv. I am really liking it so far.
Gave TeaTV a whirl last night. It works, watched TWD no problems. The controls were a little clunky and slow to respond for me.

Another thing I forgot to mention was make sure you are using MX Player and not the default Yes Player. Cuts down on a lot of the buffering in these ttv clones.

Same for me it is slow to load links, but TTV always seem to have buffering issues. Knock on wood I haven't had any problems. I think I downloaded it Friday or Saturday.

I seem to have less buffering issues than everyone else.  Here are the things I've done that might help:

A) My FireTv is on wifi and I added a top of the line router with a dedicated 5.0Ghz channel for streaming and it sits downstairs right underneath the tv where I do most of the streaming.  My HTPC in the living room is hard wired on gigabit switches.  (all to make sure it's not an issue on my end)

B) Using MX Player instead of the default Yes Player for TTV and it's clones is supposed to dramatically help buffering issues.

C) The recent issues most likely have scared off a lot of users creating less demand for the links.  The occasional crack down might actually be a good thing for those of us that keep up with it.

D) When using a VPN choose both a close (in location) and higher speed VPN server.

Damn looks like TTV May be down again

EDIT: Nevermind was just a network issue

Looks like the patch is down.  No episodes listed (old or new).  No images on seasons.  Just nothing there.

I'll add it to my list. Heard of it, maybe this weekend. Play Box Red running like a champ for me still.
its pretty much a terrarium clone

ive been using tea tv, cinema, terrarium c1berfl1x, pretty sure theres one more. theyre all the same.  i did try the play box red but im thinking i had a bad copy because i had to use mouselook on the firestick and the menu navigation was trash

I've running into some issues where after a show ends the screen freezes for an ad.  If the countdown runs, the whole FS freezes up and nothing works.  I can't back out, I can't escape to the Home menu.  Nothing.  I've had to completely unplug the FS and restart it.  That and the buffering is killing me.  I've been using the MX player, but still having issues.  Mainly when the feed starts, or within the last 5-7mins of a show.  The end of the show is a killer, as it is an endless loop every 7secs.  You see the show, then buffer, then the show, then buffer.  No escape other than to leave that feed and go into another one hoping to resume at the point you just left..  Need to find an alternate.

Titanium (ttv clone) working great for me.  Working nicely with MX Player, RD, and Trakt.  Running rev12 but rev13 just released with built-in player..

I'm having Tony's experience....Movie Play Red (or whatever it's called, I've seen it listed a bunch of different ways) is working great for me.  No ads or rebooting like what you're experiencing.  I'm getting good feeds (on the first try), but I've only watched Ozark on this setup.  I have gotten around 3-5 buffers during an episode, but they only last for a second or two.  Last episode I think it was only one buffer.  I wonder if there is a no-ad download that I luckily hit and yours was not.

I talked to my one friend today and he said Cinema has been his go-to since this mess started.

I get a single add after the show. You click it away with the select button (big round one in the center on the fire remote).  I don't mind a 10 second add between shows, much better than the original ttv.

The end of the show loop sounds like a bad link. ??

So am I behind the times again? Currently have Kodi with Titanium using Incursion. Incursion doesn't seem to be working well, if at all.

What is the new, current method??

Thanks!

Google search for movie play red apk for firestick.  That should get you going.  You just need the web address to put in Downloader.  It might be a couple pages back here.

I'd wipe it clean and start fresh, but that's your call.  I haven't had Kodi downloaded in over a year.

I'll give it a shot. Thanks. So this replaces Kodi?
