**Texans at Titans**(-1.5, 36.5) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

Titans surprised and beat them earlier. I would have expected a whopping revenge game but the Texans aren't getting after it.

Last I heard, Ryans said every healthy player(depth too) would play.
Per usual, anyone with a ding is sitting.

Pollard crossed 1000 and Ridley needs 59 yards. The interviews I watched, players were matter of fact like yeah that would be good. They didn't seem at all gung ho to get Ridley his 1000 as some have written.

Titans need to lose for a better pick or stay as second.
Titans need to win since the Texans games mean a whole lot to the ownership AND it's the game before their year end review meetings.
There's been some debates as to how to deal with this conflict. Pretty interesting no matter how you think on it.

Per usual for week 18, I wouldn't dare bet on this one

Ridley made an oops of a quote this week.

He was setup to answer a Q about how he likes it in Nashville. He said whatever nice about the area and then that the coaches are finally figuring out how to use us. 😳

I wonder if that matters or what.
I might sit him if I were Callahan.
Idk. He's usually a good guy and it probably slipped but that's awful awful timing for the coach

I think the Texans will be a little like GB, where the starters play, but important guys (Stroud, Mixon, Nico) likely only get a few series.

Titans ideally lose and keep the 2 pick, especially as I think they are ready to move on from Levis, as evidenced by his multiple benchings. I don't feel good about recommending anyone from the Titans in DFS this week.

I'll say Nico hits 1-2 big plays before they take him out.

Texans-21
Titans-14

One thing is certain in this game
A team with the letter T in it will win or tie...

T for Texans- 23
T for Titans- 16

Two T-teams trending toward terrible. Texans seemed like a good team and were a year ago, but really stumbling to the finish line.

Like others have said Tennessee Titans ought to want to lose, but I think that they want to beat the new Houston team more than they want a top draft pick.

Used to be Oilers 16, Texans 12.

If you're an owner and the team is winning and playoff $ is coming, I can absolutely imagine "hey get your bonuses you deserve it."

If the team is losing...I gotta figure it has a different vibe

Radio said Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter won't play today.

Adams family continuing to display the level of class they have by wearing Houston's uniforms against them after having left the city.

They can do whatever.

I once spent a long time reading and...don't remember much ha!
I do remember that Bud tried all sorts of methods to get new stadium fundings passed and it consistently got voted down.
The last time he stated that he probably had to move the team if they couldn't raise the $.

From there...everyone tells a story from two different sides.
There's a lot of venom and to each their own there. I get it.

I have a nitpick insensitivity to so many Texans fans saying how shocked they were. It was clearly on every news station and every newspaper that he said he would have to move if they didn't get funding passed.

Negatives fine but...not surprise.

I usually also...hours later...so Texans fans will throw a lot of hate and whatever, but tonight someone will say how many millions the Adams family brought to the Houston area and that's true. That's fair too. That's my point I'm done with the back n forth.

I think Titans fans want it to be sooo upsetting to Texans fans if they sweep them this year.
I don't think they care.
Same as Titans fans didn't really care if the Colts swept.

The stark difference between a lowly team and a playoff team really wrecks some rivalry stuff

Texans sitting both their best pass rushers. Clearly scared they'll look bad against Ojukwu and NPF 🙃

Is there a reason the Titans continue to try to troll the Texans while wearing the Oilers uniforms only against Houston? Petty.

Yeah it's how much junk thrown at the Adams family and also a historic classic our franchise thing

Stroud to Nico?
I didn't really know the Texans were going to play their starters, maybe the idea is play them for a quarter or Half, not much reason for them to play today is there?

I keep seeing Williams hit someone and nothing happens. I like how the rookie looks. He's getting experience and all good.

Is he just not smashing into them somehow? Is there a technique prob?
Everyone seems able to brush off his hits

Sure now Stroud finds Nico all over the field where was this last week
Awuzie took that series off.
For a guy that missed much of the year, that's a bad look.
Definitely lesser effort than normal and didn't even bother turning his head

But only against Houston?
Yeah
90 some odd percent of Texans fans are just doing rivalry good fun stuff.
The low low percent go too far.

There were stories of the Adams home being messed with and something with businesses they owned a share of and...

It's one of those things. Texans fans aren't bad. There were some bad apples at one time which is probably true of any franchise

Every week is another week I think Ridley is a 2 not a 1.
This began with Julio so I think the Jags and now Titans seem foolish for continuing to try and make him a 1

Davis Mills in means no more delays of games. With that neck, he can clearly see over the line to the play clock

Stroud reminds me to not have Jayden Daniels too too high next year for FF.
He's a darling but taking some lumps is normal for a young QB

I struggle with Diontae being a negative in Carolina and Baltimore and announcers saying he's a great route runner and all positivity

It's just petty vindictiveness. if they want to be upset at the city gov not throwing more money into a new stadium after they'd just renovated the Astrodome for Bud, fine. But this is about giving the entire city itself the finger.

Correct, we don't really care about a sweep that I've seen from anyone. While it will make me laugh if the Texans bury them in the Oilers uniforms, I don't particularly care. It's more a statement on how petty that family is and getting some enjoyment if their pettiness backfires. You're right that if the Titans were competitive it would be different.

I struggle with Diontae being a negative in Carolina and Baltimore and announcers saying he's a great route runner and all positivity

Cross posting what I put up this morning in Texans thread.

Beat reporter Johnathan Alexander said on the radio that someone in Carolina had told him Diontae Johnson's issue there wasn't that he was a bad guy in the locker room, but that he couldn't get out of his own way on the football field. Doing stuff that would sabotage his own efforts. No further details so I'm left guessing what exactly that means.

As for Baltimore, he said Johnson was upset at how they were (not) using him was what led to the issues there.

Maybe I need a bit to adjust.
See him do well and put forth an effort and next week I can be supportive.

The only "starter" we should see from this point forward is Johnson. He needs to get his football feet under him again for next week. He's the only "starter" worth subjecting to injury this week but the rest need to heal up for Pittsburgh/LA matchup next week.

Yeah, he's a huge question mark for me right now. And probably for the team too I'd imagine.

He might not have too many more chances to prove he's worth having on a team, so as a Texans fan, hopefully he realizes he needs to do whatever is needed to rehabilitate his image.

Speaking of guys who could stand to put up some more good tape. Great run by Pierce.

Kai'imi, WTH guy, missing a PAT?

Oliver with a nice return

If only every Titans fan said they wanted to seem him more for 16 weeks

Titans gonna wreck the only good thing they've got rolling for them- defensive stats
I feel like they are going to be a DST to target in deeper/best ball formats next year. They've looked a lot more solid that they do in the box score due to all the stupidity/turnovers on offense.

Maybe Levis was targeting that guy in the hoodie. You don't know!

I'm sooo out of support for this kid.
Try me at a future date

Yeah
They were the top defense for twelve weeks and the top pass defense til last week.

I'm very nervous of the GM (whoever it is) messing with things. They only need this n that. Don't wreck it!

Titans writers- how come every Titans fan is always wishing Vols were on the Titans.

Texans game- Barnett is always next to Levis
Pats game score on screen- Joe Milton 9 for 9

That returner looked wobbly after ducking head first into the contact. Hope they check him out. A teammate pulled up off the ground and I don't think he was all there to get up himself.

That was almost tough
Stiff arm a defensive end while throwing

It didn't have the same vibe in the replay though
