Please Help Support Asheville. And we'll match you.

Western North Carolina is one of my favorite places in the world and just a couple of hours from where I live in Tennessee. We're doing a small thing here to help and would love if you could join us.

From today, 10/1, through Monday, 10/7, we'll be donating 100% of all sales of @Footballguys Premium Subscriptions to MANNA Food Bank in Asheville. Plus, Footballguys will make a matching donation of up to $5,000. So you get double the impact.

Go to https://footballguys.com/plans, pick the plan you'd like, and buy. 100% of your purchase price will be donated to MANNA Food Bank. And Footballguys will make a matching donation for the first $5,000 in sales.

If you're a current Premium Subscriber, we're not able to add additional years to your current subscription, but you can still help.

Go to the purchase page, pick the plan you'd like, and at the bottom of the plan, click "Gift This Plan" and follow the instructions.

100% of your purchase price for the Gift Subscription will be donated to MANNA Food Bank. And Footballguys will make a matching donation for the first $5,000 in sales.

You can also help by reposting and sharing this. Thank you.
We're all in this together.
Peace and Grace to you.

Thanks Joe! You are are always doing great things! It is one of the reasons I like to stay connected to this community.

My niece has actually been stranded in the area. She was vacationing from Atlanta and was staying in a cabin in the Fairview area since last Thursday when the storm came through. We lost contact with her until Sunday. It turns out the place she was staying in was only accessible by crossing a bridge over a river. The bridge got washed out. They sought refuge at a nearby business/home, where a friendly couple took them in, however when a debris field gave way, that business/home got flooded out. Both couples returned to my niece's cabin which was on higher ground, to ride it out. That couple's home and business got destroyed (Blue Ridge Mountain Creamery - there is a GoFundMe set up to help these folks...I could post a link if Joe permits, but otherwise don't want to step on Joe's effort here). They ended up writing an SOS message with contact info of family members and placed in in a Ziplock bag with a rock. They threw it across the river to the nearby road on the other side where a local resident got the message. He called my sister on Sunday to let her know my niece was safe, but stranded. Those were a tough couple days without any contact or info. Working together, they managed to set up some safety ropes and life jackets to get everyone across the river. The man who contacted my sister has taken my niece and her boyfriend in providing shelter and food for the past few days as they have waited for the National Guard to help evacuate the area. Even though they had gotten away from their immediate cabin site, the local area was still closed off as all roadways were flooded. When they do get out of the area, she will be without a vehicle. Her car is likely going to be at that cabin until the bridge can be rebuilt. Crazy situation, but thankful for the good people that have pulled together to help each other in this time of crisis.

Thank you @Galileo That's incredible. For sure feel free to post the gofundme link for other things here.

I'm thankful they're ok. And thankful for people pulling together like you described. Wow.

Thanks, @Joe Bryant

Here is the link for the GoFundMe

Victor and Tricia are two of the people who reached out and opened their doors to help my niece. They ended up working together to get to safety. Unfortunately, their home and business got wiped out during the event. I do not know them personally, but I am grateful for their actions.

Joe, good stuff, but I have a technical question. When I go to Gift a Plan, it asks for an email (mine) and an email of the gift recipient. What should we put there? Thanks!

If anyone would like a subscription within J's window paid for by me, please PM me with your e-mail and what subscription level you need.. I'm good for 10 more gift subscriptions.

For the gift recipient, just put anyone there you'd like to gift it to. If you don't want to give it to anyone, you can just use joe@footballguys.com. Even if the gift subscription isn't used by the recipient, we'll still make a donation to the Foodbank for the amount of the subscription. Plus match it up to the first $5,000.

Thanks for helping support.

Great news.

I talked to my friend Scott Fish and the Fantasy Cares organization is going to offer $5,000 to match donations in this promotion.

So FBG will match the first $5,000 in sales and Fantasy Cares will match the next $5,000 in sales.

So bottom line is we'll donate 100% of the sales from 10/1 through 10/7.

FBG will match up to $5,000 in sales.
Fantasy Cares will match the sales from $5,000 to $10,000.

Thanks so much Joe, and thanks to the rest of the FBG community. MANNA is a great organization with a long track record of helping those in need in our community. I've lived here for 27 years, and as a military brat this is the first place that really felt like home. It's hard to process how much this will change our area, but we have a wonderful community of folks helping each other and we will get through this.

Also, the awesome folks at Ivy Property Group added another $2,500 to the matching funds.

Bottom line: - FBG will donate 100% of the new Premium Subscription sales from October 1 through October 7.
- Footballguys will match the first $5,000 in sales.
- Fantasy Cares will match the sales from $5,000 to $10,000.
- Ivy Property Group will match the sales from $10,000 to $12,500

Ok. The numbers are in.

New Premium Footballguys Subscription sales for 10/1 through 10/7: $16,487.81

Footballguys is donating 100% of the total sales. Not profit or some percentage. 100% of the sales.

Plus matching donations:

Footballguys: $5,000
Fantasy Cares (Scott Fish Bowl Folks): $5,000
Ivy Property Group: $2,500

Total to be sent to Manna Food Bank: $28,987.81

Thanks to all who bought subscriptions or donated or helped us spread the word.

It's good to see the Fantasy Football Community come together for a good cause. Thank you.

Thanks for doing this, Joe. My cousin lost his business in the foothills from Helene, but he and his family are OK. My maternal and paternal grandparents lived in the foothills of Western NC, and my parents grew up there. The area is very special to me, and one of my favorite places on earth. Thanks again for helping, and to everyone that contributed.
