Guy in our league had a very nice Thanksgiving.

Guy started

Westy

White

Fitz

Witten

All with McNabb on his bench

127 points out of 4 guys..........holy ####(would have been 169 if McNabb would have played)

I'm thankful I didn't have to play this guy this week.

I hate the thursday games. Last week I was down 103 points after Thursday night. It's bad enough on sundays dealing with the back and forth of scoring, but to stew for 2 days down 100, it just sucks.

Beyond FF, they are great. More football the better. But man when your opponent goes off on Thursday, it ruins the rest of the week.

I want to see a lineup that started

McNabb

Chris Johnson

Westbrook

TO

Fitz

DeSean Jackson

Witten

Bironas

Tennessee/Dallas defense

That would make my day.

Funny related incident in one of my leagues -

last week a guy trades Westbrook straight up for Rivers just before the trade deadline to the McNabb owner (before McNabb imploded and was benched). Dude thinks he pulled off the trade of the century trading damaged goods to a guy for his only starting qb. To "even" the trade he threw in Titans D for Jacksonville D.

he then faces that guy this week in a game where the winner makes the playoffs and the loser misses the playoffs. Prior to kickoff he was favored by 40+ points.

Well, McNabb goes off, Westbrook goes off, Bironas goes off and Titans D goes off. Now it is looking like one of the worst trades ever. He's chasing 80 some-odd points and the other guy has 5 players left, none of which are terrible players.

FWIW, at the beginning of the year I had Westy, CJ3, TO, and Jackson. I traded 3 of those players away

One guy in my league has

Romo, Westbrook, Chris Johnson, Fitzgerald, Carlson, TEN D, Rackers

Scored 152.5 points and leads 152.5 to 0. Still has Steve Smith and Hines Ward left. High score in this league so far was 145.

The team with the worst record in our league had Westbrook, TO, and Tenn DST. 80 points total for those three, which is probably right at our league average scoring for a week, if not over. He must have had a good Thanksgiving, although at 3-9, he is out of the playoff hunt. And luckily I wasn't playing him!

I'm interested in hearing about more high scores. Keep'em coming.
In the NFL -Redskins 72, Giants 41 - Nov 27, 1966 was pretty high scoring.

In the NBA -

The highest aggregate score in an NBA match is 370, when the Detroit Pistons (186) beat the Denver Nuggets (184) at Denver, Colorado, USA, on December 13, 1983. Overtime was played after a 145-145 tie in regulation time.

In MLB -

In the National League, on August 25th, 1922, Chicago beat Philadelphia 26 - 23, for a total of 49 runs. (courtesy of baseball-almanac.com). Although the most runs scored in a game is 30 by the Texas Rangers.

In the NHL -

The most goals scored by one team in an NHL game was 16. The Montreal Canadiens defeated the Quebec Bulldogs 16-3 on March 3, 1920.

That Montreal team also helped set the record for most goals by two teams in a single game. The Canadiens and Toronto St. Patrick's combined for 21 goals on January 10, 1920, with Montreal winning 14-7. The Edmonton Oilers and Chicago Blackhawks tied the record on December 11, 1985. The Oilers won 12-9.

In college football -

Georgia Tech 222 over Cumberland 0

Takes a big sack to play both TEN RB's.Wish I would have held onto both myself.

I have Westy, Fitz, Warner and the Titans Def... put up 105 points with them.... Was playing against McNabb so 2 of his td's went to Westy which didn't hurt me either....

I had McNabb, Warner, Jackson, Boldin, Bironas and the Titans D, 173 points from the 6, 5 players left to go and high score of the year is 251, hoping to blow that away with having Portis, Forte and Addai going along with Dallas Clark and Hester.
