As of right now, it's better than Zito'sCy Young potential.
His curve is on par with Zito's...
.137 as of now. WAY low. It'll get up to close to .280 to .290 in after a few turns in the rotation. He's been getting a lot more ground balls so maybe he can keep it closer to .280 with some good defense in the infield.Did anyone see Bill James' K projection this year? 241 ks, wow.BABIP is incredibly low for him right now. Sell high if possible.
I've seen this advice in several places now. Sell high for whom? Give me some names, hitters or pitchers. Sure, he won't continue at a .4 ERA, but he was dominant in the second half last year and is continuing it this year. He might have arrived. Just asking what return you would consider to have 'sold high' on him right now.BABIP is incredibly low for him right now. Sell high if possible.
His curve-ball is beyond elite, and I think it contributes to the other-worldly BABIP. I'd only package him with another pitcher/hitter for a proven stud.I've seen this advice in several places now. i traded him for baldelli before his most recent start. i regret it now and think he'd be worth a better guy than that, but I did need an OF badly. maybe someone in the top 20 OF or top 5 at a position.giving specific names is tough - there's so many players its not like football.maybe a top guy that's been slumping, like sheff.I've seen this advice in several places now. i think you're overanalyzing. hill's locked in, you have to go with someone like that for now. wind only matter if they hit the ball...My pitching staff this season has been downright unreal thus far... R. Hill, M. Cain, J. Maine, A. Harange, B. Looper, C. Young, N. Robertson, C. Sampson and even that pig Oliver Perez has been decent thus far. With that said, I think I am going to sit Hill this week (I'm thinking I am crazy). His scheduled start Tuesday there is a 60% chance of rain and the wind is blowing out at 26 mph. I've got three other pitchers with double starts. It could backfire but if you are a Hill owner in h2h, you at least may want to keep an eye on the weather report.
I checked the weather report and now it has a 10% chance of rain with the wind blowing IN at 11mph. Damage is already done as I put in Sampson yesterday (14 hits 1 BB 7 ERs in 4 innings) put I did replace him with Hill today as my switch so hopefully Hill will get a double start like they expect and soften the blow a bit.my man otis said:i think you're overanalyzing. hill's locked in, you have to go with someone like that for now. wind only matter if they hit the ball...My pitching staff this season has been downright unreal thus far...
