***The 2007 NFL Draft*** (1 Viewer)

Will the Patriots continue to move draft picks into 2008?

With 8 picks today I am hoping they will bundle a few, grab some CBs and LBs (more likely aTE and Punter though!!!) and call it a day. :(

4 109

4 126

5 170

6 179

6 201

6 207

6 208

7 246

BTW Jeff, do you know if anyone got turned away trying to get into the draft yesterday? Just trying to get a handle on ticket availability.

As a Titans fan, after Day 1, I've decided to mow my lawn and pot some plants today.

5 minutes to go......
:lmao:I really want Dallas to hit a couple homeruns here in the 4th round.McBean and Ramirez would make me happy. Allison or Baker would be fine.Romo needs and understudy and Troy Smith is the only one left that I would like to see.

I didn't really need another reason to switch to NFL network, but Suzy Kolber locks it up. Tough to think of anyone that knows less about football than her.

Oak's picked up some solid offensive players for the future if they pan out, Russell, Miller, Higgins, Bush, nice nice.

preferred Troy Smith to Stanback, but I am happy about this pick. Isaiah is a freak, and I want more freaks in Dallas.

Marcus Thomas will get drafted today. He is a great value who is willing to address character problems in his contract.

Jackson, Tanard CB 6-0 192 Syracuse Great pick by the Bucs here.
Yep, wanted this guy to slide to the Bengals pick this round. Bucs doing a great job of filling out their defensive roster with younger prospects. Excellent "consolation" prize after not trading a bunch of picks for Calvin Johnson.

I don't understand taking him over Allison if the idea is to make him a WR. If anyone has more info on Stanback, please post it. I know nothing of him.

Pittman to NO.... :confused:Would have made more sense for Houston to take him
What are the Saints doing? I don't get it.They've added Meachem, Eric Johnson and now Pittman to Colston, Henderson, Bush and McAllister. I don't mind the Meachem pick at all, but I don't see how it makes sense for them to take Pittman - and to trade up to do it, too!!

You think Stanback will end up at QB? Seems like a better prospect as a WR.

He's an amazing athlete. He has played a little WR. I have argued he needs to make it as a QB. He is a better QB than most "reports" report, imo. He can take over a game. He has a 40+ inch vertical. He run the 100M for the track team. He is a GREAT basketball player. Just a phenom of an athlete who will never ever be caugth from behind by anything on two legs.If he sticks at QB, then Dallas made a great pick. If he converts to WR, well, maybe this was a mistake, but a calculated gamble worth the risk. THOUGH, he could be an awesome receiver, potentially. You'll often read about a player with a chip on his shoulder over falling. In Isaiah's case it is a very real chip. He is determined to be a star. At Left Tackle if that's what it takes. Nice pick the more I think about him.

comments above, but I have been making that point for awhile without ever really explaining. I'll try to make sense later, but yeah, I think he is a QB through and through and I disagree with most of his online scouting reports.

Crayton has worked out as a converted QB, so that helps their optimism about Crayton.

I hate when teams do stupid moves like this when I am hoping to get a particular player.Like when the guy next to you in the casino hits with 17 showing and kills your hand.

ESPN lackey's thoughts on the Pittman pick:

The Saints expect McAllister to be gone after next season, so they're hoping Pittman can come in and keep the 1-2 punch going with Reggie Bush.

yeah sure. Payton clearly loves his offensive toys. Can you imagine him drooling over RBs next year? Pittman was a wasted pick.

Thanks CC and Bloom.

Remember they took deuce in the first a year after taking rickey....methinks this is setting themselves up when they trade away deuce

Did I just hear that right? Did Suzy Kolber just say maybe the Steelers drafted Sepulveda because he once played defense and Mike Tomlin is a defensive mind? What a complete moron.

IDPers keep an eye on Nicholas in Atlanta. That position (Demorrio's) can be a big scorer, and Nicholas is a nice player. Petrino knows kids from that part of the country, and he passed Everett and Alexandder for Nicholas.

Also, I ranked him higher and I pretty much write off the rest of these 4-3 OLBs unless DeOssie plays outside.
